    Any realistic discounts in October ?

    Am I just a dreamer, or is it realistic to expect any discounts for the moderates, specifically POR, in October? I have ressies for the Hotel Royal Plaza for $105/night, but really would like to stay more 'on-site'...I have heard that discounts are rare for this time frame (October19-26,2002)...
