    DHS Muppetvision- Retire or relocate?

If I were in charge, I would sooner demolish anything else in the studios than Muppetvision. It's Jim Henson's final work as Kermit, final project with the original Muppet performers, etc. Since the format of the show means that it can only really be fully experienced in that building (with the...

I get it. I just think it's a funny reflection of the American movie business that one of the only $200+ million "original" movies is about Legos.

I love that the list of original concepts includes a movie based on Lego toys.

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

It's true, and it's crazy how hard it is to convince first-time visitors that they don't need to stay on Disney property to have a good time. I can tell them I've been to Disney World more times than any doctor would recommend, so I should know, but nobody listens. That's the real power of the...

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

Oh, I'm sure. When I'm in Florida, I usually end up paying (much) less than $100 a night for a three or four bedroom condo. I would never pay the pixie dust premium.

While I'm sure it's still a better deal than staying on Disney property, the Waldorf price doesn't include the $30 per night "resort fee." I'll go out of my way to avoid staying places that charge a nightly fee on top of their room rates.

Walmart seeks zoning for new super center near Disney World

Except that all their other, non-fastbreak candy is way better than American candy, across the board.

I'm well over a week late on this (catching up after a trip), but I was in Germany (Frankfurt, Munich, and a bunch of other towns) over the last few weeks, and I can verify that they are pushing Minions hard over there. Every major department store seemed to have Minions merchandise, and the...

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

True, I've lived in Boston without a car for over a decade, and I'm lucky to be able to do that. But I still think it's a knock against the American parks, as it is a factor when choosing whether we want to fly to the swamps, rent a car, and drive around beautiful central Florida, or fly to...

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

Pretty sad that both Disney park locations in the US are so far removed from any sort of functional public transportation. We've done car-free trips to Disneyland easily (affordable hotels are within walking distance), but it's a shame that locals have to drive. It's ridiculous that there isn't...

Not saying it won't do well. Just that it's been just the right amount of time since the original Jurassic Park and its sequels for kids of that era to have grown up and earned some movie ticket money, but not yet to have been too jaded about blockbuster movies to just stop going at all. Star...

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

I'm sure Star Wars will do well (at least, Episode 7 will. Not so sure about Episode 46). But Jurassic Park has a built up nostalgia value because there hasn't been a Jurassic Park movie, TV show, or anything for 14 years. Star Wars had a movie ten years ago, then a long-running TV show, and...

Anyone heard anything about whether Pokémon will be included in the Universal Nintendo plans? It's one of their biggest properties, but since it has multiple stakeholders, I wonder if the rights are more complicated than just sticking with Mario.

It really depends on the line and the time of day, but yes. You'd think Disney would want to shuttle people off to their expensive destinations as quickly as possible.
