We have been to California once in 2014 and that was for a last minute scheduled trip to DL and we basically went from the airport to DL/hotel then back to the airport. The only non-disney related thing we did was In & Out. I have tried to look up things close to DL to do but keep getting stuff...

One thought would be if you really wanted the extra day with fastpass, you could just pay the $30 difference and upgrade everyone's ticket. It would be $240 instead of $402, just a thought.

I realize the houses will have long lines but what are the attraction lines like? We are going one night and have very little interest in the haunted houses themselves, we just want to ride Gringotts as much as possible, hoping most of the crowds will be in the rest of the park.

If the line for a ride is at 5 hours, do they close the line 5 hours before park closing time or keep letting people in so that the ride is operating long after closing time?

I just read in a trip report that Cosmic Ray's no longer has the sauteed mushrooms and other extended topping bar offerings. Is this still the case? This is DH's favorite QS but mostly because he can pile on the mushrooms, lol. What other QS (any park) offer the extra toppings?

I think the problem people have is not with families waiting for tables, it's the approach some of them take. If you are standing by clearly waiting for a table then we will wave you over when we leave. If you put your crotch 3 inches from my face or steal my child's seat when he gets up to get...
