We've used the bag check-in many times but the last 3 times our bags did not make it to the plane we flew on and were checked with 5+ hours before our flight. We're done with bag check-in.

We have a saying, "go wide". In a line like PoTC where once inside, the line is quite wide, to keep people from running past us someone will say "go wide" which just means we start walking next to each other instead of behind each other. We travel in large groups so this is easily done.
