Politics Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Fauci is much more of a politician and bureaucrat than a scientist at this point. He is easily the most duplicitous scientist I have ever heard speak. Not saying he is a blowhard, but at this point to call him anything other than a pundit would be a gross exaggeration of his actual position.

I like to use the word exhilarating versus fun. 😂

I too spent time in Hanoi and also right outside. It was for sure the location that I saw the most masks in. This was a while back 12 years ago but I was told that they were worn more prevalently there due to the pollution problems. All those motor scooters.

I was speaking to the duality of those who push the mask but say the vaccine is insufficient. But yes. Your statistics are correct. My biggest point is get the vaccine.

So I have heard Asian countries and masking mentioned a lot and I think there is some misunderstanding here. As someone who has spent a decent amount of time in east Asia and a variety of nations there, it’s important to note that even during the winter it’s probably only 1-3% of the population...

And for anyone who says that’s not good enough, it’s been shown masks are only 76-78% successful at stopping transmission.

100% with you on this one. We wear masks and socially distance because it’s our only option now. Once the vaccine is readily available to everyone, it’s not longer our only option.

Over time a great deal of harm. The reason we kick the flu most of the time is built up immune responses. It important that we do get mild sickness occasionally. See kids who go to daycare versus those that don’t. Once kindergarten hits the one that has been in daycare is there all year. The kid...

The World's Most Magical Celebration - Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary

I really wish the two coasters ( Tron and GotG) would be ready for the 50th.

Along with the fact that exactly zero people fully vaccinated have been hospitalized or died due to Covid. That’s the point. The vaccines make Covid a cold. A mild one at that.

People here already don’t wear masks in grocery stores and cases continue to go down. By end of summer cases will be so low I will not wear one either.

I’m simply saying I wear a mask 9-10 hours a day currently. I’m not doing that come late summer after I’m vaccinated. If that means I can’t go places so be it. I’m just done wearing it then.

You may be right but you may also be wrong. Just like me.I was simply sharing my reasoning for why I think masks may go away quicker than some think. I know for me ( I’ll be last to get a vaccine due to age and need, so everyone will have access by then) I will stop wearing a mask about a month...

This is exactly why I’m bullish on masks being gone potentially by end of summer. At least the mandates. Remember you’re always allowed to wear one if you feel unsafe. But if you don’t feel unsafe and the general population has had the opportunity to be vaccinated, the mandates should disappear...
