Are the sound effects / voices from the Space Mountain queue available anywhere? I remember hearing various effects and mission control style voices playing every once in a while in the load station switchback queue area when I rode last month but haven't been able to find them online.
Hah, nothing of the sort, actually. I've never lived in the US and have only been able to visit WDW on two trips — in 2015, and in Nov 2023. I've been reading this forum for a long time but actually visiting the parks has encouraged me to post more ;-)
Are the greenhouses in The Land pavillion actively chilled, or using some sort of passive cooling setup? All that sunlight must add up to quite a large heat load!
It's been four years since the last post here; am I right in saying the only WDW attraction still using film projectors is the China Pavillion's Circle-Vision 360° show "Reflections of China"?
I haven't been able to visit it personally, but this 3-month-old video of it sure leads me to believe...
Thanks for these stats! Sharing my luck here. On 18 Nov, I joined boarding group 4 at the 7AM drop, but due to being far away from the park, I would only be able to arrive at 10:10AM when groups 29-39 were being called. My group expired at 8:49AM so I didn't have high hopes of getting in...
Makes sense, thanks for sharing!
Interesting to hear about the differences across the pond. It's not at all common in the UK, I don't recall seeing it in any business in at least a year.
Absolutely. I don't think I made this clear in my original post but I love incandescent lighting and it was really cool to see these in the wild! (hence the pics I took in the first place).
The confusion on my part was in thinking Disney's take on this would be purely rational/economic and the...
I recently visited WDW for the first time since 2015 and, as a lighting geek, picked up on incandescent lighting being used in many attractions' general areas, queues and load/unload stations. (I'm not talking about the stage lighting in the attractions themselves, just the general-purpose...
Thank you! A little late response here, but the trip was amazing! All FP+ and dining reservations seemed to be timed perfectly.
Interestingly enough, I used the Pirates FP+ around 5 minutes before its window started, and it worked fine – I don't know if that's built into the system or just CM...
At WDW today I saw a cable running between the top of Cindarella Castle and a building in/near Tomorrowland.
It's rather strange, I contemplated for a second that it could be a zip line, but doubt it. Perhaps it's to do with fireworks. Any ideas?
Images attached.
Awesome, I'll do that then, thanks guys! Also, the fireworks displays – am I right in saying both MK and Epcot have displays on every night? If so will definitely watch. Any tips on good viewing areas which don't require FP+ (as they're used up)?
Hi all, I'm going to be at WDW with the rest of our family of 4 in late December (20th and 22nd), my first WDW visit from South Africa!
I've got the FastPass+ setup but have some questions on the times.
Here is the current setup I've got for one of the days, for reference: (I've removed the...
Thanks Tom for the response. The size of the Magic Kingdom's plant sure is massive. Do even the smallest attractions / buildings use the central system? Also, would the utilidor system contain the chilled water/steam pipes, or are they buried separately? These are pretty complex questions but...
