How are the crowds like at WDW at Thanksgiving time?

We were at POFQ for seven days with Thanksgiving smack in the middle in '99. No problems with crowds anywhere! Also, the weather was fantastic, with temps topping out in the high '70's with low humidity. And I didn't have to fool around with a turkey and a house full of guests!:D

    New Pop Century Pictures

If anyone really enjoys acid flashbacks, they'll be right at home in Pop Century. I'm sure someone will enjoy it, but it's not my bowl of chowder.

comments about Disney on Travel Channel

I really enjoyed the show. As a 'civilian' there was a lot of inside info about WDW that I wasn't aware of. I had no idea that the MK was built on a foundation 14' above the existing ground level to allow for the network of tunnels beneath it. I easily could have absorbed another hour... or two!:D

    Smells part II

Bingo, Geeks! Every time I'm on a city street behind a bus and get a snoot full of diesle fumes, I just suck it up and pretend I'm in the MK, choking along on the Tomorrowland Speedway.

    Favorite Smells of WDW

The smell of the water in the rides & fountains. Disney uses an additive (I think) to make the water 'soft' and reduce foaming. You can best see the 'silk' effect at the Epcot fountains. My family and I have been to different places in the country where the same additive is used, usually...

    Moderate Resorts

POFQ You'll love it! Nice and tidy, great pool for the kids, first stop on the POFQ/POR bus loop going & coming, just all kinds of neat things to reccomend it.

    Pop Century

No offense..... But I think it's hideous. The cut-out catch phrases on the facade from various decades, in all their day-glo splendor, are just plain tacky, IMHO. We're a POR/POFQ type of crew. To us, Pop Century looks like a Holiday Inn on acid.

    What's your favorite quiet/secret spot?

My favorite is in the limo on R'nR right before they boot you in the rear and the screaming starts........ :D

What ride would you hate disney for if they closed it down?

Splash Mountain That would definately end life as we know it. On my portion of the planet, anyway.

Scariest Thing you've EVER seen at WDW

Scariest thing? Our bill when we checked out of the Poly in '91. I'd charged everything to our room. I think I'm still paying for it. Pardon me while I shiver.

Honey I shrunk the audience replacement

Kumbaya Lord. Kumbaya. Kumbaya, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh. I agree, Adidas. I'm afraid I've seen enough of Mr Moranis & Co. In fact, I enjoyed 'Captain EO' far more than 'Honey', but Michael Jackson has become such a freak that 'EO's' return is probably out of the question. A state of the art 3-D...

    20,000 Leagues - RED subs?

Were those subs in the rehab 'drydock' when you photographed them? if so, that might be a primer coat laid down prior to the finish coat of paint. I don't ever recall seeing any red painted subs in operation.

    Favorite Gutbombs in WDW!

The last time we were in EPCOT, I went face down into a combo-platter from Cantina San Angel as soon as the place opened. My wife and daughter sat at another table, they were so disgusted! But it was so good!:D
