  • Thank you for your answer! I already checked David's rental website for a possible stay at Vero beach, I didn't think to check for prices at the Beach Club, I will do that now!
Hi! May I ask a question about your recent trip to the Beach club? I appreciate your posts and value your opinion! We are thinking about a stay at the Beach club next summer, but I'm wondering if it's possible to get discounts at that resort since it's very popular and seems smaller. Did you manage to get a discount? Or rented DVC points ? Thank you!

One minus, though, was that with a DVC studio you have a queen bed, a Murphy bed (slightly smaller than a twin-size) and a fold-out sofa. At the Beach Club, in order to fold down the Murphy bed, to which the little "dining/desk" table is attached, you lose the table as it folds under the bed, and have to shove the two chairs into the corners of the room. In other words, space gets tight when everything is unfolded.

So we ended up not using the Murphy bed at all, and just unfolded the sofa bed for the kids. There weren't obvious places to put the cushions for it, but it worked much better and gave us more breathing room than if we'd tried to use the Murphy bed, too. Otherwise, we loved the resort and its convenience to Epcot and HS, and would gladly stay there again. Staff was great, pool was lovely.

If you're interested in renting DVC points, David's Vacation Rentals' website has a calculator that can tell you the estimated cost for your dates, and a good Q&A section about the process. If you decide you want to try and rent points, I suggest making your reservation request at the 11-month mark for the best chance. Good luck! :)
