DHS Millenium Falcon Smugglers Run queue drainage issue

There is a very odd drainage situation in the Smugglers Run queue - hopefully it is being addressed.

But in heavy rain, the drain dumps a heck of a lot of water directly into the queue line. This is just past the main entrance, and every guest is stepping through inches of water.

Looks like the queue barriers aren’t accounted for in the drainage plan. I would expect to see the concrete barricades replaced with the wire fencing behind them to alleviate the issue eventually.

This may be somewhat intentional and an indicator that the primary drain is obstructed. Secondary / overflow drains are required to drain in a readily visible manner. What it should not do is flood a guest area.

they just need to cut out some drain vents at the base of the concrete barriers.

The problem there wasn’t the designers it was the contractors.
