Contemporary Evacuated

Picture was not taken from there. Angle is impossible.
Well, it's a nice photo, and we all agree that while we can post rumors and news, we all need to be careful to differentiate the two as much as we can. Those of us who are trained journalusts will be held to a higher standard. The rest of us will accept healthy skepticism and the occasional demand for further information or backup. Excelsior! :)

That being said.......Angle is impossible.

Add me to the list of people saying this was an unnecessary lynch mobbing of someone simply trying to share information which could be useful to others and their plans. Heaven forbid the OP didn't have time to check every single floor and corridor to give us a play-by-play narrative.

Give the pitchforks a rest.

Especially considering it’s a new member. A little slack cutting is in order.

The fire alarm in the main building is a general evacuation system horn/strobes (entire building). There is a separate system for the monorail platform (part of a pre-action or deluge system) in the event of an event with the monorail. This system is a voice system and only serves the platform area and is triggered by pull stations or waterflow.

If it were a common area smoke/heat/duct detector or waterflow or pull station it would have evacuated the entire building.

How about if someone in a 4th floor room fired up a fattie?

Conflicting reports. Just the fourth floor or all evacuated?

Just the fourth. I literally was escorted outside and then immediately made my way to the lobby to sit and wait. Plenty of people remained standing outside initially as it was not made clear we could return inside.

Don’t sweat it. Just know every post you make will likely be scrutinized on these forums. Good and bad news... Good news because it keeps new information more factually based than other sites. Bad news, carefully check what you write because people may pick up on something unintentionally written/implied and pick it apart. All that said, welcome!

Thanks, I’ve actually been a member here since 2003. I just rarely post, ironically because I find very little of these threads constructive 😂.

I've never been there so I don't know but if this was taken from Top of the World, wouldn't this picture be from a much higher vantage point?

This was taken from the bridge between resorts during the evacuation.

Again, perhaps people were allowed back into the lobby, but that doesn’t necessarily conflict with the building having been evacuated beyond the 4th floor. In the end, I don’t doubt that the conflicting report was correct and that mine was inaccurate.

Inaccurate but not a lie as someone implied. The building was evacuated, though apparently just the concourse - and for some reason - California Grill.

I relied on the waiter at Top Of The Worlds info, whereas the other forum member has firsthand knowledge that conflicts.

In the end, I posted - not for drama - but because I knew this forum was a resource with knowledgeable members, and in the heat of the moment, being evacuated from the building I thought if I posted here someone might know what had happened.
