I will be visiting in a few days and this is definitely on my to-do list. Cannot wait to see how this - and the rest of DAK - is progressing. From the looks of these photos, Discovery Island is being plussed up very nicely.

I love that they are using a skylight to let in plenty of natural light. Makes more sense environmentally as well, they shouldn't need as many bulbs on during daylight.

Looks awesome! I always thought shopping was a little lacking in AK so I love that they have more retail space. I also love that a lot of the offerings at AK are unique and I hope this enhancement allows for more unique offerings to come =)

Seeing as how this is an older photo, I am assuming that is work that was being done to the Flame Tree Barbecue location. That area had an extension to the overhang where people stand in line and the paint/design schemes were updated (like the other Discovery Island buildings), including all of the covered eating areas near FTB.
