Actually, sitting in a parked car prepares you for driving in NY traffic.

When DS was in school he didn't have a car so we'd have to drive down to pick him up. It would be a 3 hour drive one way, and a 6 hour the other, depending on what time of day we'd go. He tried to drive home for the wake last Friday and it took him almost 8 hours from the time he left his place, so he missed the calling hours completely.

I'm a "dressing on the side dip the tip of my fork in before I spear the lettuce" kind of gal. I'd rather have a salad with no dressing and just salt and pepper than too much dressing.

I used to make a mixture of Kraft Catalina salad dressing, cheddar cheese, croutons and about 2 pieces of lettuce and call it a "salad".
