New Monitors - Contemporary Bus Stop

Today the Contemporary installed 2 monitors at the bus stop that shows the next arrival time for each bus. They look quite nice, high quality, and are framed into the awning.
I will post a photo tomorrow morning on our way to Animal Kingdom (camera was dead today).

I've stayed at Bay Lake many times since opening and am actually at WDW now... I wish I could go back in time and check but I don't recall them being there before.

Other resorts such as AKL (Kidani) and Port Orleans have had these but most still don't. I was at both Saratoga and Polynesian stops today and neither had the screens.

Yeah, GF has had them for several years now. Then again, many times they've also had a CM there who is comm-connected. Haven't seen that at other locations (altho not sure if the CM posting is still there).

Hmmm, ok. I could just picture sitting on one of those white wire benches and looking at one of them. Maybe I'm remembering the GF.

I think it was the GF. I've walked through that bus stop so many times... generally past a bunch of CPs waiting for a bus.....

Yes, the grand has had them for a few years. These are brand new to the Contemporary . They were in cardboard the last few days and just were finished today.

I hope these get implemented across the resort. I bet the amount of complaints will go down and the need for CM's alerting how much time for the next bus will be a budget reduction strategy.

I'm actually disappointed if they did install these at Contemporary recently... it would mean that bus wait times are likely not coming to the app any time soon.

No it didn't. GF, POR, and Kidani were the test sites for these and have had them for some time now. They are now being rolled out across property.

These are a great idea but they need to be some what correct. I stayed at kids I back in November and they were so off in the times most of the time I was there. It would show a bus coming in 10 minutes. Then it would drop to 5 minutes, then 2 minutes. Then back up to 15 minutes. I would understand a break down of a bus or something of that nature but it happened 8-10 times during our 2 week trip. It's a great idea, just need to fix the bugs.

Contemporary didn't have them as of a month ago. So that's good news, they need them at every resort.

The bus monitors were at AKL Kidani when we were there in Sept and they were very accurate. It helped us make some last minute decisions that got us to where we wanted to go a little quicker.

I used them while at GF and the times were very accurate every time we boarded a bus. It helps but still hate the wait at the parks for the ride home.

Double edged sword because if that poor bus driver isn't within eye shot of the fussy guest when that clock expires!? Look out!
