Rumor on changes to Disney Dining Plan

This litte tidbit popped up on Orlando by Joe whom I follow on Facebook. Of course as stated in the article this is considered a rumor only until released by Disney.



A few changes coming to the Disney Dining Plan, effective May 31, 2015.

For a rumor, there sure were some pretty specific details. All allow for greater flexibility.

Um that absolutely IS generous if you're about to check out and you have four unused TS credits.

It doesn't meant it's a smart use of credits, but it does help with flexibility.

these changes seem geared towards the people who have leftover credits at the end of the trip and don't have time to use the rest of their TS. that said, definitely taking a big loss by trading down

Better than a complete loss though.

I'd be curious how many people actually end their trip with unused QS or TS credits. We always fall short on both and have a ton of snacks left.

My son always used most of our snack credits on popcorn and Mickey bars. I only needed one or two for Dole Whips.

No matter how many snacks we eat (and believe me - my husband can snack!) we always seem to end up taking at least 5 bags of jelly beans on the plane with us.

Useful to know if I have any TS/QS credits left I can buy snacks and not completely wasted but that being said I don't expect to have any left to use

We've never had any unused credits. There were a couple of times where we got CS to go at the resort just before getting on Magical Express and ate it at the airport.

Between the DDP forcing you to over buy at all meals and agree to be hungry for a snack all the time it expands the guests waist line and the mouses bottom line.

I would never buy the DDP. We've had it many times, but always when it was "free." With all the walking, I've never gained any weight while at WDW, with or without a dining plan.

I always get DLX, and in fours years of trips, Ive never used all my credits.
