I've been DYING to see the Lion King show and missed it entirely the last time it was in town (2006? its been a while) but just got a postcard at mail- actually, my BOSS did- that the Lion King is coming back to Pittsburgh... September 3-29!

OMG! I can't wait. Kinda puts a damper on my WDW funds as tickets go on sale May 6- and I leave for my trip on May 8th. But I don't care. I MUST go this time around!

Has anyone been? Is it as good as I think it will be? ...Am I gonna cry all the way through? LOL

Mods, sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

Looks like I'll be able to swing *one* show. And alone. :( Boyfriend wants no part of it (it's bad enough I walk around the house humming LK soundtrack) and ticket prices are... WOW. I mean, I was expecting expensive, but this is ridiculous....

I'm having a particularly slow, stupid day at work.

So I bit the bullet and... bought a single ticket to the Lion King.

September 11th, 7:30. I'm GEEKED. :)

Just wanted to update this! Anyone else going? Wanna do dinner beforehand?
@Genie of the Lamp I know you're a Pittsburgher...

Yes, I proudly am a Pittsburgher.:D That'll be at the Benedum Center right? (Never mind, answered my own question). I also am loving the fact that they're doing an Autism friendly performance. That's where I went to see it with my family back in February of 2005. It truly is an amazing show and it will not leave you disappointed. There's two acts in the show (first being about a little over an hr and the second being about 40 minutes) and the set pieces/costumes are one of a kind. It feels like just yesterday I was in that Right center section O part of the theater singing along to the Circle of Life. Anyhow, have fun. :)

FYI @Soarin' Over Pgh, me and my family got tickets for the Friday, September 13th 8:00 PM showing of TLK. We were able to get seats in the Orchestra (lower level) Left Center section. It'll be the second time seeing it for us. Our tickets costed us $475 (including fees and taxes), but it's well worth your price of admission as long as you don't get put in the second tier level seats on the upper level balcony. Your boyfriend doesn't know what he's missing. I'll pass on TLM. So, how bout that 3 rivers arts festival and the point fountain ceremony?:)

Totally missed the fountain launch. :( will be there fridayebenng, probably Saturday, and more than likely on my lunch break Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Haha :)

I got orchestra as well. I've seen performances from the tiers and, for tlk, no way. Has to be ground level!
