Online Check-In

Okay peeps, 60 days to go until my arrival at WDW again. I tried the online check-in and it's still saying I need to be within 60 days. So does this mean day 59 or is the site not working properly?

Yep, paid in full for some time now. No Disney debt here.
Then it should work so it is more than likely a site issue. If it does no allow you to check in by the end of the week, give Disney a ring.

Sorry for all the questions, but you would be surprised how many people have a 6/8/2013 check in that try to do online check in on 4/8/2013 or have not paid the reservation in full yet.

My wife just corrected me - we actually did online check-in at 59 days per the site. Others have reported that the Disney site counter is off by one day, and you actually have to wait til it says 59, rather than 60. I'd try again tomorrow.

When you check in on-line, is there still a possibility when you get to your resort they can upgrade you?

My friend is against doing on-line check in... and I'm for it.. what should we do?

Online check-in does not affect how the room is assigned, so yes you can still get a free upgrade. We got one last time after online check-in at AKL. All online check-in does is allow them to go ahead and have your welcome packet printed before hand.

Oh well, problem solved but not to my satisfaction. I called Disney and apparently, online check-in is not available to those of us outside of the USA.

We are from UK and did online check in last year - and got a free upgrade. However online checkin wasn't available until 10 days before departure. I know it has changed for US bookings but our info still says 10 days prior to arrival and as we go in 19 days :D I will let you know next week if we managed to do it ok.

You don't miss out on anything checking in 60 days or 10 days prior since all it does is let them know what time you'll be arriving so they can have your packet together.

Cheers matey, I just want my double balcony, preferably on a high floor. No harm in reminding them of this.

My wife always makes specific requests regarding rooms when she books over the phone (like floor level, specific building, etc). When we did online check-in for BCV last week there was an option for "large balcony" under room requests, along with "woods view" and 2 others I can't remember...
