While we are in Disney my son will be celebrating his birthday (10) and so will my DH (41)

I was thinking of taking DS to Chef Mickey's on his bday but not sure if the breakfast or dinner would be better? Or is there another good character meal that you would reccomend? He does like Lilo and Stitch too. I really want to make this birthday specail for him.

For DH's bday we plan on having the kids (have a 7 yo DD also) stay in the Cub's Den at WL where we are staying and we'd go to Epcot for the evening he's a meat and potato kind of guy nothing fancy (kind of limits us really :( )

Any suggestions tips etc?? :)

This is not true. Ohana is only character meal for breakfast. It is NOT a character dinner. Didnt want her to make ressie and expect that. It is character for breakfast. Just how Cape May does it.

i am sorry i forgot to mention that. I recommend the breakfast because the food is good, and the characters are present. the dinner is good as well, but DOES NOT HAVE THE CHARACTERS :(

I was thinking of via napoil as well for DH :)

Is Chef Mickey's not that great? I remember dining there a lot when we stayed at the Contempoary back in 86 but I was just a kid and of course loved every min of it.

I took my dear wife to Whispering Canyon for breakfast on her birthday, boy did we all have fun. I took her to Boma for her birthday, ordered a cake etc and the cast members were great all of them signed a card and wished her happy birthday. My son wanted to go to the California Grill for his birthday and again the castmembers were great. Make sure to get them "Birthday buttons".

I like Chef Mickey for dinner - my DH does not do breakfast so we are always ADR on lunch and dinner. There is nothing like eating at Chef Mickeys Cinderella's Wish is happening.

We like Chef Mickey's for breakfast, but not for dinner. The dinner food was just really bad the one time we tried it, but we'd definitely return for breakfast.
I agree with Chef Mickey's for breakfast. Dinner was never bad, per se, but the only things I thoroughly enjoy is the parmesan mashed potatoes and their dessert selections. Starting your DS's bday, with a *Mickey* breakfast, then a day at the parks is something even my 23 yr old would like!!!!

I would give this general advice: Always choose character breakfast over character dinner! CRT, Askerhaus, Tusker (don't thnk they even do dinner character) buffets are better at breakfast (CRT is technically not a buffet).

If it was my choice for a birthday meal at Epcot, I would pick Biergarten. Beer and brats and some German music. sehr gut
me too sounds fun :) I am not choosing for him just getting info the via napoli seems to be the one with most of what he'll acutally eat ;)

10-4 ;)

Is there a great place for yummy desserts or anything that can make the night special for DS? I liked the idea of the sundee bar at Chef Mickeys
