Ok this crap es me off, there is a guy who works for me that claims to be knowledgeable about and goes to WDW all the time. He told me that there was never a ride called Horizons at Epcot and that before mission space there was nothing there. So being the Epcot fanboy I am I debated him for almost and hour. Has anything like this happened to you.

No, but I think it's hilarious how people will be so 'knowledgeable' about something they really have no clue about!

I afraid that he is what I like to call a dumb A## so it wouldnt help but maybe im more dumb for arguing with him.
I have met lots of people who have said "Im going to Disney World!" and when I asked them which park they give you this puzzled look, with the belief that the Magic Kingdom is Disney World. Its very frustrating.:hammer:

I've had something similar to that happen to me before. You know POTC recently got a refurb just a few years back. Well, I told a friend that it was one of the oldest rides in WDW, and he basically told me it couldn't be, that it just recently was opened in '06 or '07. (Can't remember the refurb year). Of course several hours of back and forth debate, I had to go to the all reliable wikipedia :lookaroun and show him that the opening date was indeed back in the 70's. He had no idea the difference between refurb and grand-opening.

Amen to that!

I was in the Test Track queue, and the man behind me was convinced that the sign on the wall for Interstate 405 meant that Test Track opened in April of 2005.

My personal favorite was a man on the bus last year as we were passing the Swan and Dolphin. His friend had remarked that he had never seen them before, to which he responded, "Well that's not a surprise. They only opened two or three years ago."

So apparently TT opened in 2005, followed shortly by the Swan and Dolphin....riiiiiiight....

It happens. But to go on for an hour....must have made the slow day go by faster.

If this goes the way I'm thinking this is gonna go.

Sometimes you just have those people who just don't give up on what they believe is right, even if they are wrong. I think we're about to see a prime example. Anybody want some popcorn?

Once I knew this guy who said he'd been to Tokyo Disneyland, so I asked him how he liked their version of Pirates of the Caribbean. He told me they didn't have one, and that they were currently building one. I told him he was wrong, but he insisted. Of course everyone in the room sided with him because he had been to Tokyo and I hadn't, despite the fact that any idiot could go online and view photos and video of Tokyo's Pirates of the Caribbean. I'm pretty sure he was lying about the whole thing.

Thank you this was the point of this thread even if we had Internet accsess at the time he would not admit to being wrong.
