(oh and Good Morning Dot!)
Bunny!
Good morning!
How was your Thanksgiving?
Okay, I guess. My mom came down with a stomach bug and spent all Thanksgiving in bed... so it was just Marc's side of the family at his parents' house.
I did get some shopping done, though!
How's everybody here? I didn't get a chance to come visit over the holidays..![]()
Hope your mom is feeling better!
I think everyone here is doing fine.
Nibbs and Jess are in process of becoming new home owners. . .busy, but special time for both of them!
Susan had a big, old-fashioned family Thanksgiving with her family.
The rest of us had quieter, smaller versions of the same.
And Jenny's in WDW!
Wow, a lot of new home owners around here. On Sunday we moved Marc's little brother into his new condo that he bought. It's a bachelor pad for sure! We all were taking bets on how long it'll stay neat and clean.
Crazy time of the year to be moving. . .
but if you must, you must. Moving's never fun, but it is exciting!
He's planning on holding Christmas Eve dinner there... I don't know where he's planning on putting everyone - It's only a one bedroom condo! It was cramped with only the 7 of us, I can't imagine adding more....
That should be interesting. :lookaroun
You have to admire his enthusiasm, though!
He wants to serve a Turducken. :hurl: I think we'll be bringing the ham.
Turducken? :lookaroun
Only the grossest thing ever invented. A Boneless Chicken is stuffed into a boneless duck, which is stuffed into the cavity of a turkey, and the whole thing is roasted together... :hurl:
Who came up with that concoction?
And why would anyone want to eat it?
I don't know.... I think it harkens back to the days of yore when cooks would create a "farce" for their masters. They might stuff a mouse into a duck, which was stuffed into a turkey, which was stuffed into a pig and so forth. But we HAD evolved past such diversions... until now.
I've heard it tastes very... different... Like I said, I'm bringing the ham.
Yeah, I'd stick with the ham too.
I don't get the appeal of combining meats like that. . .
Oh well, whatever floats your boat, I guess.
He likes it because it's edgy and on the cutting edge... but he won't touch anything green with a 10 foot pole.
I don't think I've ever seen him eat a salad!
