I would not be encouraged by such an announcement largely because the Shanghai land is hideous.
Most of Shanghai is hideous and it is basically what all the parks would look like if they had been built under Iger, aesthetically underwhelming and loaded with nothing but IP-based attractions.

A Zootopia land would be very popular. At my work it's the only modern Disney movie that everyone seems to like.
Toy Story is very popular, beloved and successful, The Park lands based on it is one of the cheapest looking things WDI has ever built in the history of Disney Theme Parks.

Quick question, what's the most recently-built (as in, since 2015) attraction to have closed and been replaced? Are there any?

...I guess Launch Bay would count? Has that closed yet?

Toy Story didn't looked like a good idea for a land because it's just the human world but as a toy.
Indeed, I doubt anyone understands or buys the idea you are in Andy's backyard and the backstory for Slinky Dog Dash is one of the most contrived things I have ever heard.

Festival of Lion King.

Also Magic Journeys went from Epcot to Magic Kingdom.

Beauty And The Beast stage show when Sunset Blvd was built.
Oh yeah…. Dumbo!!! It’s as plain as an elephant in the sky… or some phrase like that haha.
We could throw in Animation Academy if we really wanted to... Altho, much easier to relocate of course.

One could also argue Mickey Mouse Revue was relocated being shipped overseas and Carousel of Progress across the country.

'64 worlds fair attractions... And I wouldnt put it past Disney to just move laugh floor to the glob but who knows.

I’m surprised it’s lasted as long as it has - it’s not cheap to run. The voice actors are equity and they need CM’s in the theatre to help with mics for guests.

Nah, aside from paying the voice actors, its actually likely one of the cheapest attractions to run. Likely only slightly more than the Mickey Shorts Theater and Pixar Film Festival. The biggest factors in how much an attraction costs to operate are the maintenance required for mechanical elements, how much energy it needs to run, and how much labor is required to run it. Laugh Floor has only a few operations positions.
