News Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Historical Construction/Impressions

I predict the new Mando movie to bomb so severely they will full send Galaxy's Edge to the Original Trilogy. It's all they have.
Since GE never really leaned into the Mandoverse until recently its very unlikely the movie will have much impact on the land if it doesn't do well. And as others have speculated it would make more sense longer term for them to wait until they have a new hit movie before another major investment.

The upcoming Starfighter movie for example may do a lot better than Mando. But never underestimate the cuteness factor of Grogu, so we'll see how well Mando actually does.

I admit up front I have a pretty high opinion of Filoni and Favreau as a creative and creating team. I'm expecting the film will have some merit and also do really well popularly and financially. If I'm right there will be pressure to add Mando/Grogu to the land.

I have to say I really wish east and westcoast GEs were more distinct and different. One could drift towards Mando and the other OT.

Mando and Grogu have already been added to the land, not only has Mando/Grogu been walking around the land (at least at DL) for a few years now, but they are being added as a new mission on Smugglers Run on both coasts starting May 22nd.

Smugglers' Run getting a whole new name. Just as bad as "Star Tours: The Adventures Continue" imo.

Well good thing it was premature, removed, and not necessarily coming to DLR -

How about Millenium Falcon: Gunners? None

It’s descriptive while also containing multiple unnecessary punctuation marks.

It would be great if Josh could shift some of his “like but don’t love” energy over to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
Hopefully they'll add Dr. Facilier to the ride. Or maybe they'll make amends by moving (and upgrading) the Pooh ride and replacing it with an "Oops! All Dr. Facilier" dark ride where Pooh is.
