MK Piston Peak and Villains Land Construction Thread

Isn't that kind of the problem with Toy Story Land, though? You show up for the headliner and see a two hour line, only to reluctantly settle for the flat ride, except that has a 45 minute line. It's incredibly frustrating. (I realize TSL also has Midway Mania, but that is probably a 60-90 minute line in this scenario, so it doesn't help.) Same thing in Pandora, though NRJ is theoretically a more satisfying "B" attraction.

I mean, those are also in parks with way less ride capacity. Big Thunder, Tiana, Haunted Mansion, and whatever goes into Villains (eventually) will be steps away, and that’s just in one corner of a much larger park. LL Single Pass and high-demand upper-tier Multi Pass attractions will continue to have long lines just because of how that system works, but that rarely meaningfully impacts the low-tier rides in MK in the way that it does elsewhere where there’s just nothing else to do with your remaining LLs.

If it is the secondary ride in Piston Peak, it would potentially explain why we haven't seen any other concept art detailing this ride. It would (will?) also be nice to have two completely new ride concepts in this land.

Could be, could also be totally unrelated to anything currently being built. Wouldn't be the first ride patent that never became a reality.

I thought Midway Mania was the headliner. Are you saying it's Slinky Dog??

1. The argument about ToyStoryLand is flawed bc it's in DHS a park that needs at least 2 new lands ontop of the upcoming muppets and monsters inc ride. in 10ish years the waits at DHS won't be bad in toystoryland but are just because the park is still transitioning from a studio park to a park about stepping into the films and where the films are made
2. If the second cars ride is even just a skin of the swirling saucers I think that's ok, its just a filler attraction to eat up guests (and give children of all ages a ride) and to help give relief to the heavy hitting lineup of HM, BTM, Tianas, the new cars ride, and villains. I also heard a rumor they maybe instead of doubling down on cars for the second ride it may be rethemed to Jessie, Woody, and Bullseye which I'd be down with. Either way tho its gonna be a small and probably a simple ride which is ok w me.
3. I also could see them canceling the second ride and make it more into a play area, with the barrel bridges and stuff being extended

That's a fair point I hadn't fully considered. I guess we'll see.

We see this a lot. They pay their Imagineers to develop and build stuff to completion and the guests never get to see/experience it.

Now we can say Disney wastes money in both their Movie and their parks business.
