Must be the same person who sent us a fax years ago at work advertising special rates for group travel.
One of the excursions they advertised was to "experience springtime in NYC and Manhattan."

BTW, hope you all have a good Thanksgiving.
To be fair there's Manhattan and the rest, usually named by each borough. Also, most locals I've met just say going into or live in the city when talking about Manhattan. Sometimes when asked where something is people will just mention the neighborhood. To be honest just saying NYC doesn't guarantee seeing Manhattan, I could see extremely bad reviews or people just skipping out not knowing where was included. 100% agree the wording was clumsy. Imho should have been NYC including landmarks/parks/points of interest.............

In all fairness we do have a lot of areas in the US, as opposed to some of the countries in the rest of the world. Also we have an extremely large population of horrifyingly uneducated people that live here and have absolutely no desire to learn anything. They were not talked about much until recently.

Hello Friends! Happy American Thanksgiving!

I’m pages and pages behind again. Will do my best to catch up shortly. I’ve been busy. Decided this was not the job for me. I didn’t trust my instincts soon enough up north, so I decided not to wait so long this time! I resigned from my current job today, and start my new job on Monday! (Oh yeah, I have a new job!)

My current employers could not have been more gracious. I know that they too are re-considering if they want to continue with this very difficult, constantly combative builder. Hey, maybe I’ve provided them with enough reason to walk away. Happy to oblige.

Love you guys. Catch up soon. Please post lots of turkey pics!

For those keeping score, my first job - 28+ years. My second - 8 1/2 years. Current one - 2 months … ish.

I have been hired by the company/builder that Mike works for. Even better, we are going to be partners! For now anyway. The boss at the brokerage? My old boss from the 8 1/2 year job - although she left a few years before I did.

When I interviewed with the Builder I said, “I don’t know if it’s STILL true, but Nicola always used to say that I was her favourite salesperson. Their answer? “It’s still true. She said exactly the same thing to us when she sent us your resume”.

JenniferS is feeling the love. ❤️

Pics of both turkeys, pork butt and such won't be up until the weekend because dh is working today and we had to move the festivities until tomorrow.
Anyhoo this year should be interesting because James is cooking the inside turkey, dh is running the smoker and I'm making everything else
