I don't disagree with your premise, but I thought the green is the end of the ride. You come into the station and unload/load happens and you get lifted up to red for the start of the ride - and I agree there will likely be a show scene at the start before you enter the factory floor. The part where you go through a door into someplace else is at a higher level which makes sense that it would be over the lower end of ride/returning to the station.

Ya I think I was just disoriented by the ride load video. The model would suggest the inverse direction you state.

There could even be three scenes, start/mid/end but one of those easily could be a hallway.

It’s probably impossible to tell from that basic model and track layout, but will ride vehicles be visible to other ride vehicles during the ride inside the gravity building? I’ve always loved that aspect of BTMRR, how you can see other trains riding on other parts of the track while you are riding.

It seems designed to have at least five trains (arguably six) and the warehouse is such a large component that I think the assumption is likely.

when you follow the track layout it looks like it is going to be incredibly short... Hard to tell, but definitely doesn't look like a lengthy ride experience... Maybe there are slowdowns and stops for show scenes?

The track length only tells part of the ride length story: it's (obviously) dependent on the speeds the ride traverses. BTMRR does not have a particularly long track, but it's relatively slow speeds (not to mention 3 lift hills!) make the ride time long. to some extent, same with Space Mountain and Matterhorn.

I do worry this will fall more in the Tron length (which feels too short) vs. Cosmic Rewind, which feels much longer and complete.

Any thoughts/insight on whether this will have a preshow (or two)? The multiple-preshow trend (a la RotR, Smuggler's Run, and Cosmic Rewind) really makes the experience feel more complete IMHO, especially after a lengthy wait, and more immersive.

I would disagree with the multi pre-show being more complete and immersive. Rotr is disjointed and after the first time, it's a snoozefest. GoG may be a bit corny, but watchable multiple times.

Most coasters aren't typically that long, especially Disney coasters. The only one longer than Cosmic Rewind is Incredicoaster at 6,072 ft, and due to its speed, it actually takes less time than Cosmic Rewind. There is always a chance that this is like a Tron and shorter than you'd want, but also I doubt very much it'll be a Cosmic Rewind or Incredicoaster-lengthed ride

good point. I didn't fully appreciate how long the track for CR is, partly because a substantial portion is the pre-launch/ launch portion, which is substantial, but I tend to think of the "ride" length being more of the actual indoor portion (which is itself substantial).

I completely agree the Monsters coasters will not be CR length -- if it feel between in "feel" between Tron and CR, I'd be super happy.

I really do enjoy Tron and think it's tremendously visually -- it just does feel like it ends a tad short.

If you cut out the lift hill, Space Mountain and Tron are the same length. Both about 2 minutes and 10 seconds give or take. Slinky is the same length give or take a few seconds. All three are longer than Hiccups, Donkey Kong, Werewolf, and Stardust at Epic Universe.

Every time I get off TRON I always say: "if that was just 15 seconds longer, it would feel so much more complete."
I think that position you're in would be a bit much for CR length, but like 15 seconds longer in the inside portion, with maybe a nice drop that accentuates the bike positioning even further, would have done wonders.
Oh well, still a very fun ride and, at the end of the day, I am happy it was added to MK.

I think that is part of it too... The outside portion really adds nothing to the experience... You wait in the Queue for this experience on the game grid...already in the world of Tron.... then you are shot outside into the real world....and then back into the game grid... and if all of that was part of the indoor world... flyinging over the game grid before being injected into the game itself, it would have been a much more compelling attraction.... But they chose to have the outdoor flyover to "look cool" to the outide instead of using the full track length to tell the story.... Making the ride feel shorter than it is.... and it is not a long enough ride to waste 20 seconds getting to the actual world of tron.... From launch point to "removal from the game grid is about 58 seconds... so your actual time on the "Game Grid" is about 38 seconds... the rest is getting to, and leaving the game....

I agree...it segments the ride...making it feel less cohesive... If we are joining a team on the game grid, why are we going outside? lol
I rode this in Shanghai when it first opened...and wondered the same thing... It feels like an odd fragment of a story.... incomplete... When I rode it in Shanghai I was assuming that when it came to the US, the pre-show videos would explain something that made it all work... but then riding it at WDW I realized they didn't...

There’s another side to that coin. This land has a set budget. I would rather the budget be used wisely - which means reuse as much as possible.

Same thing with animation courtyard.

My issue with Tron - as much as I enjoy it - is also that a majority of the indoor portion of the ride just feels like block section after block section.

Yeah, the inside portion is pretty boring to me, reminds me a bit of RnRC - where the theming lets me down. However, I love the outside portion, I wish it was longer.

I'm not sure on the length of this coaster, I'm hoping it feels longer than Tron or RnRC. But mostly, I'm hoping it feels really themed and special. Likewise, I hope the Muppets give RnRC a much more interesting theme on the ride.

Not to mention that incredibly long return to the station track, which cuts out even more of coaster time. From launch to break run, eliminating the long return tunnel, the ride time is 57 seconds. No where near the same length of the rides you - TRON is ridiculously short in actual ride time. You almost spend more time getting to the launch and returning from the brake run than you do in the ride.
