DHS Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

This is what I'm hoping this is part of
A marvel land, reusing Star Tours and replacing Indy and Backlot with a new ride and new shops/dining
Eh, the Marvel lands have all been super unimaginative. I feel like if they’re going to bother with the “step into worlds from film” concept, they should select something less mundane.

I'm just going by @Moth's post saying this could potentially be a Dr Strange retheme

A Marvel land could be many things, if they weren't intent on making them all generic and ugly

Kamar Taj would make a great environment for DHS I think

Now, I'm being hypothetical here. But what if, and what if here, the current people of the Marvel theme park rights for Florida were eying up buying another studio that has two of the three most iconic Superheroes of all time, and could replace Marvel with them at their theme parks, and Disney could get full reign of the Marvel rights.

(No this isn't a hint for the Uni side of things! I just think it's a fun idea to spitball!)

Anyways outside of the Strange rumor, I think some other ideas I've heard for this are Big, but I hope Disney looks in it's Heart to make sure they have a plan to have original trilogy presence maintained following the closure of Star Tours.

These are all very blue-sky ideas right now so, like, who knows what they'll settle on, but they seem relatively intent on keeping the ride system.

On the one hand, I’ve always wanted to see a proper Gotham city land. On the other hand, I ALSO like EPCOT, and I don’t wanna see it become marvel slop.

I do hope they keep the OT around. would be terrible loss for wdw if it wasn’t. Also while I could see BH6, strange seems like a stretch honestly. It does feel kinda like it’s “time”, but its still sad to see that it’s on the way out.

They are rumors NBCU might bid on the WBD assets. If this does happen, I think DC would be better off going the in SS 18-24 cluster at USF. DC needs group up bespoke attractions and not a rethemed land from 1999.

Retiming star tours would be absolutely amazing. Make it either marvel or inside out as both deserve lands and both would be a great fit! Id also argue they can still do a marvel land at HS they just need to be very specific of what characters show up.

Also when it comes to a DC land at UNI, I would want them to do a Harry Potter route. Gotham at IOA, Metropolis at US, and Epic Themyscira

Also following a quick search the biggest marvel characters available for use at WDW are Dr. Strange, Shang Chi, Mrs. Marvel, DareDevil, every single Thunderbolt besides Bucky, Moonknight, all Spiderverse spidermen (if disney makes another deal with Sony), Deadpool

Spider-Man (no matter the version) and Deadpool I think are off limits due to him being associated with the X-Men.

I thought it was only if they were shown in the park, not anything to do with association. interesting. either way still think they can do a marvel land working around/avoiding the IOA marvel characters, heck if all I got was a drstrange star tours retheme and a kick*ss coaster of sometype maybe themed around Shang chi or sm plus a restaurant and they call it Avengers campus id consider it a win in my book. anything to make DHS a better and most importantly bigger and more consistently themed park.

East of The Mississippi - any other theme park is limited to using characters not currently being used by MCA at the time such other license is granted. [For purpose of this subsection and subsection iv, a character is “being used by MCA” if (x) it or another character of the same “family” (e.g., any member of THE FANTASTIC FOUR, THE AVENGERS or villains associated with a hero being used) is more than an incidental element of an attraction, is presented as a costumed character, or is more than an incidental element of the theming of a retail store or food facility; and, (y) in addition, if such character or another character from the same “family” is an element in any MCA marketing during the previous year. Any character who is only used as a costume character will not be considered to be “being used by MCA” unless it appears as more than an incidental element in MCA’s marketing.]

As uninspiring as Avengers Campus is, I do think people would be excited if it came to DHS one day. To have Muppets, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel at one park would be pretty cool and seem intentional.
Agree, plus star tours imo has had its time. personally would love each version that exist to become its own special thing, esp the outside of DHS which has aged a lot since DE. Also Disney please change the DL one also

I’m definitely in the minority so it is what it is but as someone whose family doesn’t care for Star Wars or marvel WDW might become a 3 park only trip for us, it kind of already is when my toddler and older parents can’t do coasters anyway
