Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

Did you? "stories", as in multiple? Because the only thing I remember is you posted that same Newsweek article you just posted here, as in one story, which didn't really say much beyond he was very method and creepy, again par for the course with Hollyweird.

Now maybe you're a "person is automatically guilty once rumors come out" type person. But I was always taught that a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty. And again while I don't condone any of his actions whether real or not, this is all still rumor and alleged at this point. For example if there really was inappropriate behavior with underage girls you'd think he'd be brought up on charges at this point, especially in this day and age with certain lists making the headlines.

All of this is to say that again while Disney maybe should have done a deeper dive into him none of what has come out recently was in the public consciousness until this year. So you may want to try to connect the dots and claim you were talking about it for years, but in reality it was not a huge story until 2025.
Here are two significant Disney affiliated creators publicly discussing Leto in 2018 (Sprouse had a long history on Disney TV series, and Gunn was actively in preproduction on GOTG3 at that time)

But Disney didn’t know….

I'm sorry, while that has a bit of a "creepy" factor, what is actually of issue here? The fact that an actor slides into the DMs of legally aged women? I bet that happens way more than you think with lots and lots of actors.

Also 2018, that was after Leto was already contracted for Tron: Ares.

I think the issue is more with the Gunn tweet. I'm not sure I see anything with the Sprouse one other than like you said, creepy.

Except Leonardo DiCaprio is a really good actor. Leto, not so much.
Yes that’s what I figured…. It depends on the likable factor whether someone is guilty or not

Personally I am not even sure how much the mainstream is aware of the accusations.I am a film fan of all genres as long as it is a good movie….I follow quite a few movie sites. And no one is mentioning this except these forums.., they did discuss Jonathan Majors and Ezra Miller however…. Although I don’t keep up with such YouTubers (so maybe I missed it)… I have not seen much said in the angry grifter segment… but maybe that’s just because he is a straight white male and does not fit into their culture war narrative

I’m so torn on whether or not to see this movie in the theater, the reviews I’ve seen have ranged from it’s great to it’s horrible… but the common denominator has been its big and colorful which which really benefits from the big screen.

I don’t think Leo’s ever been linked to underage girls though, we all know he likes younger women but he’s at least been smart enough to keep it 18+, which is a little creepy but legal.

Totally different situations.
Again if there was any truth to that surrounding Leto he’d be in cuffs already. Rumor does not automatically make something true or someone guilty.

Since your ticket isn't likely going to make a difference, I'd say see it in theaters. The visuals alone is what makes the film good.
