No, I’m making a comment on how the park is going to look terrible for the next 5 years with this construction going on.
There's already been a moderator warning.

This is the construction-watch thread. Not the lament-that-RoA-is-gone thread. That already exists here...

Construction sites are not pretty. That's why walls are going up.

Completely agree! Plus the project is already being built. I argue we should instead of debating if this is a good or bad idea instead talk about how the construction is going, how's the theming coming along, how will sightline look, and look towards the future, wether we like what we see or not

And my comment was about the construction and how I think it looks terrible right now and will look terrible in the MK for the next 5 years. That is on topic, no?

Your reply earlier trying to mock or make fun of my comment and push me to expand on it is the only reason I mentioned ROA at all. Because like it or not, the construction is happening at the ROA. And I think the construction and construction walls will look terrible for the foreseeable future. Construction is not pretty but right in the thick of the MK looks extra terrible. I am not sure I’m even going to book another trip to WDW until 2028/2029.

How is that not on topic? Is any dissent about it not allowed or you’re just picking on me?

We want expansion and additions to capacity, not "construction."

You do realise that expansions involve construction and construction walls? Just look at Avengers Campus at DCA as an example. If you want something new, construction has to happen as things need to get built
Yeah they should just make all the new rides magically appear out of nowhere!
Pretty sure @Chi84 is being sarcastic.

What is the time line of the actual tear down? I know the actual building part for cars will at last take a year or two at least but how long will the actual tear down and land prep take. As I feel it didn't take long for DINOLAND (however this was actually themed well unlike DinoL)

I’m guessing they’re going to get rid of the track, then infill, then clear the island? IIRC, they didn’t need to remove the river bed, just bury it?

This scaffold now extends the whole length of the unwalled section (the wooden boardwalk). Hopefully whatever scrim they do here is nice.

I don't understand why the scaffolding is so thick if it's just to block the view? I think blocking the view during demolition is smart for obvious reasons but maybe unblocking for construction would also be smart b/c it could build anticipation (if they do this right...which I'm still skeptical of). One of Disneyland's very first updates was a place in the fence one could peak through to see planned construction behind Main Street (of projects that never came to be in that location lol)
