When you go to Dawa Bar in AK and order one of their liquor drinks, guess what? They're pre-mixed because it's not a full service bar, although you can hang out. As for B&B, I agree, this is not a full service bar. It's a 45 minute experience.I’m not surprised they’re premixed drinks let’s get real and remember you aren’t going for super high quality drinks. You’re going for atmosphere and vibe. Of course, would be nice if one could have both, but not really expected in such a high volume theme park setting.
They intentionally omitted this by design. They don't want a party coming in and just ordering Cokes, taking a slot from a potentially more lucrative customer.I don't think a full service bar would make any sense, though I think a general soda dispenser to allow for some more non-alcoholic options would be a nice and simple addition.
I don't drink anymore simply because I don't care to...but back in my, "bachelor days" I'd order this pre-mixed drink that was the #1 of this waterfront watering hole ("planter's punch")...but I'd be really annoyed (feeling cheated) when I could tell they didn't shake the pitcher well before pouring....not only b/c it was much lighter on the alcohol than it shb but also much lighter on the juices (tasting little more than slightly flavored water)..... for the tabs I'm seeing, they'd better always, "shake well!"When you go to Dawa Bar in AK and order one of their liquor drinks, guess what? I'd be fine with fun and lively, not with extremely loud.Watching a couple videos it seems this place is extremely loud, to the point of being overwhelming. I saw several people covering their ears at the bar. I’m wondering if it’s way too loud for some. I’m kind of noise sensitive.
Good thing you're limited to 45 minutes.Watching a couple videos it seems this place is extremely loud, to the point of being overwhelming. I saw several people covering their ears at the bar. I’m wondering if it’s way too loud for some. I’m kind of noise sensitive.
Wasn’t that one of the characters in Tangled?…the backstory seems to be it was designed by a pirate with a passion for interior design and the ability to fabricate custom decorations.
Restaurants and bars used to have carpeted floors, until about the 1990s. And boy how disgusting the carpet in those places got! But hospitality went to hard floors, including concrete, and things got loud. The popcorn ceiling going away didn't help, haha. But overall, restaurants are a lot noisier nowadays than they were just in the 1980s and before. I have a really hard time having a conversation in these types of spaces.Watching a couple videos it seems this place is extremely loud, to the point of being overwhelming. I'm glad someone enjoys bourbon and whiskey so it doesnt go to wasteI’m here and the plunderer’s punch and the barrels ablaze is great. The theming is so good as well!
It is so odd this is being called a win.
I think part of it as well is that currently MK doesn’t have a job classification for "bartender" and they don’t want to start going that route. Every drink across the park is pre batched.I think to get the ROI that they want, they need to turn tables quickly, and minimize costs. The way they have done it seems to fit the bill. The drinks seem like they will be more than acceptable for most. And lets face it, if you want really great hand made drinks, a theme park isn't really the place to do it.
Uh-oha the other two are just annoying. Here’s a fun question for everyone. What Is the best Disney bar audio-animatronic?
1. DJ Rex.
2. Uh-oha.
3. The barker bird.
Audio-animatronics are great and are enjoyed by all ages... so it's certainly interesting that Disney has three audio-animatronics in bars and one in a restaurant not designed to push alcohol. It might make one question their priorities. Here’s a fun question for everyone. What Is the best Disney bar audio-animatronic?
