Sorry for the delay on this second batch; had something come up that I needed to take care of!

The Island of Sodor

@WaltWiz1901

Now I’m beginning to wonder if I’ve been reading Berk incorrectly. Out of the kiddie lands so far, though, I like this concept the most. Sodor is a very original and theme-parkable experience, and I’m a sucker for both trains and the British countryside! The meet ‘n’ greet is a delightful touch.

Toothsome Chocolate Valley

@Architectural Guinea Pig

Bringing practically all of Uni’s original characters together in one land is a very creative idea! The descriptions of your rides, shops, and interactive features are all clever and fitting; a particular standout is Captain Cacao’s Candy Quest! I do wonder, once again, if there may be somewhat too much overlap with an existing Epic land - in this case, Celestial Park. Still, it’s a very original idea!

Back to the Future

@ThemeParkPriest

Back to the Future is another classic Universal property, and one that fills a niche the park doesn’t currently have - sci fi! I enjoyed your description of the ride, though I would’ve liked more about the land itself to match that. That doesn’t detract from a great concept, though!

Sonic the Hedgehog: Town of Green Hills

@Half/CartoonHalf/Human

This is clearly a concept coming from a place of passion. I admire how much care and detail you poured into both the land itself and the attractions you featured, but I have to wonder if it was a bit too much - I got a bit lost around the middle of the second paragraph. Remember: less is often more!

Starfleet Academy/Terra

@Lizzy May Bee

This fills Epic’s sci-fi niche that I mentioned earlier in a creative and sure-to-be-popular way! I appreciate how much thought you put into the setting, and the amount of detail you gave was perfect for conveying the highlights of this land. I don’t know enough about Star Trek to say much else here!

Park Place Results (Main Round)

The Terrier

The Isle of Sodor

@WaltWiz1901

Despite my misgivings about whether Epic needs another kids land, this is just a really cute idea.

The Automobile

MonsterVerse - Hollow Earth

Despite my misgivings about whether Epic needs another Monsters land, this is just a really cool idea!

The Top Hat

Middle-Earth

@Disgruntled Walt

You took a solid-but-common idea but pitched it excellently. The multiple mini-lands are what really sell this for me!

And with that, I turn my top hat over to @Poseidon Quest for the bonus round. A final standings check and the finale will follow that!

Rather than a one-sentence competition, which is really a three-sentence competition, would a 100-word competition be better? Asking for a friend.
Yeah the same thought came to me. It seems like the goal (at least in previous comps) was to convey an idea with limited words.
I do think a lot of the value in OSCs comes from how low stakes they are, and not as much from how long or short they are. I’m sure there’s plenty of people here who are passionate enough about their ideas to create entire presentations on them - OSCs work to prevent that, and the pressure that comes with those types of projects. But hey, if there’s interest in a 100-word or true OSC, I’m sure that the only thing they’d really need would be a host!

I had a lot of fun reading through all of the posts and judging the bonus round. Here's how I felt about the ideas and the top three for each category!

Middle-Earth

Chance Bonus 1: The newest dark ride for Celestial Park, Lady Nebula's Palette, is an indoor interactive dark ride in which Lady Nebula (an original character) commissions you to "Paint the Stars" using paintbrush guns (screen-based) you can pick and choose colors for.

Chance Bonus 2: Koopa Paratroopa Training Academy is a Jumpin Jellyfish-style flat ride that allows guests to glide through the atmosphere of SNW with the Koopas, providing a much-needed family attraction for Epic.

Chance Bonus 3: Macaroni Meteorite is a Mac n cheese lover’s dream, featuring every possible variety of loaded Mac on the planet, er, meteorite!

Chance Bonus 4: Gandalf left his fireworks cart behind before accompanying Frodo, and guests may see some sparks and flashes or hear some pops as they make their way through the Shire!

Chance Bonus 5: You enter Middle Earth through a portal decorated to appear like Ents are holding it in place, so listen closely for their whispering…
View attachment 867079 (Working on mobile, so the picture isn’t much here!)

Bonus 1: I'm not usually a fan of interactive shooting attractions, especially screen based ones because I think the industry is over-saturated with them, but I do like your original theme for the ride. Epic needs more indoor family attractions, so I think that this would be the perfect fit.
Bonus 2: Interesting idea, though I would be worried about capacity. It seems like it would take a significant amount of time to load and for the most part, Universal has shown that they avoid attractions where they can't refine the loading process for efficiency.
Bonus 3: Solid idea and people love mac and cheese, so it's an easy win.
Bonus 4: That's a great effect and really fits in with Epic's design philosophy of adding in extra effects to the lands just because they could.
Bonus 5: The portal idea is very distinct and from what I can visualize of the idea, seems mysterious and exciting.

Bikini Bottom

Bonus 1:
SpongeBob: Jellyfish Joust is a dark ride similar to Monsters Inc at Tokyo Disneyland and other shooting dark rides where guests compete to catch the most jellyfish.
Bonus 2:
Yoshi's Egg Twirl is a tilt-a-whirl ride where guests ride in colored yoshi eggs as they spin around a giant yoshi statue.
Bonus 3:
Cosmic Cluck is a counter service restaurant specializing in different varieties of chicken (and vegan chicken) sandwiches topped with a variety of toppings.
Bonus 4:
The portal to Bikini Bottom features a clarinet (it's implied to be Squidward's) that can be heard playing the SpongeBob theme a bit off-key.
Bonus 5:
View attachment 867087
The entrance portal is in the general SpongeBob artstyle, featuring a sign similar to the above photo as well as a music player, a bubble machine, and a small animatronic of SpongeBob flipping a Krabby Patty.

Bonus 1: As stated above, I think a family-focused interactive ride makes a lot of sense for Epic, so I think it could do well in balancing the attraction line-up of the park.
Bonus 2: A bit basic, though not a bad idea. If it was spruced up with show effects inside a small showbuilding, I think it would be a well received addition.
Bonus 3: I think a chicken restaurant would do well, but I feel the theme is too vague to stand out. There's already Meteor Astropub, so if there's going to be another space themed restaurant, I think it needs a more distinct hook or gimmick to distinguish it.
Bonus 4: It sounds funny for a minute, but I think would get annoying quickly. If it were located somewhere in the land and not on the portal itself, then I think that's a winning effect that might go viral online.
Bonus 5: I'm not sure if I can picture how this all comes together, although I like the individual elements (especially the bubble machine)
Frostbite Falls
View attachment 867089

...Peabody's Improbable History, a dark ride through time a la Spaceship Earth, but hosted by Mr. Peabody and Sherman - and with a much more humorous tone, of course.

A Mad Tea Party-esque attraction with giant blue shells/Spiny Shells, like the ones in Mario Kart, instead of teacups (that's all I've got).

The Lunar Eclipse Cafe is famous for its black and white cookies, otherwise known as "half moon" cookies, and milkshakes - and for having half of the cafe being lit up as though the sun is shining over it and the other half being mostly in the dark, illuminated by an unseen moon.

The portal to Frostbite Falls is lined with amusing signs reading things like "THIS WAY", "NO, THAT WAY", and "NEVER MIND, IT WAS THIS WAY AFTER ALL".

The entry portal is topped by a mounted moose head (Bullwinkle's, of course), a light dusting of snow, and the words "Watch me pull a theme park land outta my hat!".

Bonus 1: Seems like a fun concept, though I know little about the characters. A slow moving dark ride makes sense for Epic's attraction line-up.
Bonus 2: The idea is simple enough to make a lot of sense. Sometimes simpler is better and I can see how this would fit well into SNW.
Bonus 3: I like your description of the interior. The duality makes for what sounds like a very visually interesting place to relax.
Bonus 4: Again, a very simple but effective idea. I think the bonus question was asking specifically about touches within the land, but those signs would fit there too.
Bonus 5: You got me with "a light dusting of snow". It's those small effects that didn't need to be done, but are still there that make themed design memorable.
hollow-earth-godzilla-vs-kong-Cropped.jpg

MONSTERVERSE

The best way to experience Hollow Earth is aboard "Mothra: Beauties of the Deep," a suspended flying dark ride which follows the benevolent goddess Mothra on a tour of the realm's many biomes and many creatures - both old favorites and brand new designs - realized with a combination of massive Titan animatronics and shrewdly-incorporated projection screens.

"Kirby Super Spin" is a gentle Balloon Race spinner designed by Chance Morgan, which lets guests hover high over the land in hot air baskets as they helptheir favorite pink puff ball devour his enemies.

New Celestial Park restaurant: "A Taste of Uranus" :D

The flora and fauna of Hollow Earth is altogether monstrously alien, and while evidence of Brobdingnagian lifeforms appears throughout the land, few details earn as much fan praise as the bizarre humanoid mushrooms which serve as an Easter egg to the obscure 1963 Toho sci-fi classic Matango.

wQXUdKDg6TYoHYsJqzhdEQ-1200-80.jpg

The Hollow Earth portal is topped by Godzilla's dorsal plates - known to fire off pent-up plasma blasts every quarter hour, accompanied by a fearsome roar - and marked by text reading "LET THEM FIGHT," leading to a swirling bright blue nuclear energy passageway.

Bonus 1: A slow moving dark ride that provides thrills through close encounters with massive animatronics? That's classic Universal ride right there and would definitely do well. That's a very strong idea.
Bonus 2: Kirby is a core franchise that I'm surprised doesn't even have any easter eggs in SNW, so this would be much welcome representation. If eventually, Universal wanted to expand the park with a Kirby themed land with a dark ride, this would be a fun supplemental flat ride to go along with that too.
Bonus 3: Excellent pun, but obviously isn't a real restaurant suggestion.
Bonus 4: Ah, land elements that are obscure easter eggs for fans? That's exactly how Universal is designing these lands and this is a great idea for yours.
Bonus 5: This sounds like a spectacle through visual kineticism. That's always a positive and would stand out well.

Chance Bonus 1
Thomas%2CPercyandthePostTrain50.png
Around the Clock with Thomas is a train ride in the same general vein as “it’s a small world”, the Jungle Cruise, and/or the dark ride in Fuji-Q Highland’s Thomas Land, taking guests on a trip around Sodor in a passenger train pulled by the number one tank engine to see what his friends are up to at different times of the day.
Chance Bonus 4
ABadDayForHaroldTheHelicopter18.png
Decorating the realm are limited-motion figures of workmen and railway staff - not to mention Sir Topham Hatt himself! - doing their daily duties, while the faraway sounds of heaving steam engines, diesel engines whirring, trucks chattering, coaches clattering, etc. fill the realm’s soundscape.
Chance Bonus 5
Season11Opening4.png
The portal to Sodor is marked by a tunnel bored into a grassy, tree-topped hill mound, with steam rising from over the hill and the text “You’re really reliable and right on time!” engraved into the tunnel’s arch.

Bonus 1: Seems like a solid idea for the theme of the land. As I've been stating throughout other submissions, I think that Epic needs a another slow moving family ride and this would fit well.
Bonus 4: Theme parks today are far too afraid to include more simple or rudimentary animated figures. Not only does your idea fit the theme very well, but it shows how simpler effects can make a big difference in adding kineticism to a land and would make for a memorable experience.
Bonus 5: The idea is simple, pleasant and effective. I like the addition of steam to the portal as well.

Toothsome Chocolate Valley

Chance Bonuses (NOT ELIGIBLE FOR POINTS, DOING FOR FUN!)

In Captain Cacao's Candy Quest, guests board small golden Moonships, taking off from the Chocolate Valley Port into space, all while going on a gentle and beautiful journey through different Epic universes and strange Candy-filled destinations...

Meanwhile, at SNW, Donkey Kong Country gets another ride with Temple Barrel Spin, an extreme Haus Top Spin ride where daring adventurers are twisted and flipped over by a raging Donkey Kong animatronic!

The Prometheus Bar and Lounge in Celestial Park takes guests deep under the blooming gardens into a dark, fiery cavern with volcanic activity and mysterious contraptions, creating a scary but epic vibe "underground".

Earl is not the only squirrel to have moved into the area of Chocolate Valley, as his 27-member family of squirrels can be found everywhere around the land, feasting on nuts, bolts, and chocolate!

Like stepping into a giant clock, the portal for Toothsome's Chocolate Valley is filled with moving gears, golden metal, and enchanting whimsical music played on unconventional instruments like the theremin and the kalimba.

Your entire post was the most interesting that I've read, as I'm always a fan of original ideas in theme parks. That said, here's my thoughts on your bonus round, though I'm sad to say that I can't award any points.

Bonus 1: Yeah, seems like an easy win for Celestial Park to expand on Captain Cacao's story and is a good family addition.
Bonus 2: Unfortunately, I'm going to have to disagree that this is a strong fit for Donkey Kong Country. The theming sounds great and reminds me of Talocan, but I think it's too intense for the core demographic of the land. The land itself would definitely benefit from a flat ride, but not one this intense.
Bonus 3: This is an excellent idea, both in terms of the atmospheric environment it would produce and in how it adds thematically to Celestial Park. If Helios and Luna represent the sky at opposite ends of the land, then adding that "earth" element with Prometheus makes for an interesting contrast.
Bonus 4: More context on the Earl lore? Yes please!
Bonus 5: This would be a very different and distinct contrast to the other portals. The kinetic components are always a win for me.

New Flatride: Super Nintendo Land needs some Kirby (which compliments the color palate of the land) with a Himalaya style flat ride in which guests board Kirby’s and battle with Whispy Woods aka the tree villain.

Bonus 2: When I first read Himalaya flat ride, I thought it was a bad fit because their cheap looking design doesn't really fit the theme parks of Universal's caliber, but when I read "battle with Whispy Woods", I literally laughed out loud. The idea is both funny and clever, though I think this type of ride would need to reworked without that tarp that sits on top of the ride mechanism.

Sonic The Hedgehog: Town of Green Hills

A Luigi’s Mansion interactive dark ride is added to Super Nintendo World, which adds more for kids to do at Epic & gives another beloved Mario spinoff series representation; in the ride, guests board their own poltergeist vehicles designed by Professor E. Gadd to help Luigi suck up some ghosts, save Mario & friends from portraits, & take down King Boo himself.

Community Chest 2

Staying in Super Nintendo World, the Donkey Kong Country subland gains a new ride as well, Barrel Blast, based around the Wii game of the same name; it acts like the Jetpacks at Shanghai Disneyland, but here there’s a gimmick, in which you need to play the barrels on your barrel jetpacks to gain height.

Community Chest 3

View attachment 867949Although many though it was canceled, Cassini has been added to Celestial Park, taking the plot of land Meteor Burger would have gone (or elsewhere if something else took that spot); as for the restaurant itself, it’s a very elegant Italian themed place with a starry night sky as its roof, & it manly focuses on soups, pastas, & other for dishes.

Community Chest 4

Green Hills contains many details, such as Team Sonic zipping through the forest & rooftops of the land using colored sticks on fast moving tracks, many of Robotnik’s badniks being reused by the town, though they occasionally glitch out and reference something about their former master, & although he doesn’t have anything in the land, Robotnik’s crab as seen in Sonic 3 can be seen popping in & out of the Green Hills lake, as seen in Sonic 2.

Community Chest 5

The portal into Green Hills is a ring as said before, & portal quote is obviously “Gotta Go Fast,” above the quote is a 2D Master Emerald sprite reused from the Genesis S3&K (which will also be added to the chronos) that reflects Team Sonic & Shadows eyes, & the spire is a colorful beam reflecting the colors of the seven chaos emeralds, topped with a mini eclipse cannon.

Bonus 1: I think it's fitting, but since Universal is rumored to have conceptualized or may be close to building this attraction, I wanted to see an original idea instead.
Bonus 2: Donkey Kong Country would definitely benefit from a flat ride and this is the right theme and thrill level to make an impact.
Bonus 3: Maybe I'm just projecting my own wishes, but from your description of elegant Italian with starry night roof, this sounds like it could be a nice cosmic and almost Roman variation to Celestial Park. The idea resonates with me.
Bonus 4: I like the kineticism, especially since it seems rooted in the 2D Sonic games, which I much prefer over 3D Sonic.
Bonus 5: The portal idea is interesting and I think has a lot of potential to stand out visually. I can envision walking up to it and seeing the chaos emeralds sparkling in the sun.
Starfleet Academy/Terra
View attachment 867930
Star Trek

Bonus 1: Luigi’s Mansion would take guests through a spooky adventure featuring the green plumber himself and his ghostly rival, King Boo.

Bonus 2: Boo Bash would complement the previous bonus, being a Dumbo-esque flat ride where guests would fly atop the silly ghouls that Luigi often butts heads with.

Bonus 3: The Lunar Cafeteria’s interior is designed to look like our moon, and the exterior would be modeled around an observatory, with the restaurant serving wacky treats like Moon Cheese and a cake themed around a Land Rover.

Bonus 4: While some cast members would simply be humans in Starfleet uniforms, others would be dressed like the many aliens from Star Trek, such as the Vulcans, Andorians, and Klingons, with them also being specially trained to display the mannerisms often seen within said species.

Bonus 5: The gate would have a high-tech appearance, with a shuttle-craft flying above it, and the Federation logo being displayed just below said craft.
View attachment 867938

Bonus 1: I'm going to have to consider this idea less since it appears that there's a strong chance that Universal is already working on an attraction like this. It's fitting, but I want to see something more original.
Bonus 2: This though, is an excellent compliment to the dark ride. It's simple, and thematically effective.
Bonus 3: Not a bad idea, but it seems too similar to Pizza Moon. Cafeteria is also not a noun that I would ever want to see used in a theme park.
Bonus 4: I'm not sure if roving land entertainment fits the category, although it is always very welcome.
Bonus 5: Seems like it could be a fun idea. I can see how lighting effects could make this stand out, especially at night.

-----------------------------------------

Now for the judgement of the bonus round!

Design a new dark ride to go anywhere in the park
3.
This one goes to Disgruntled Walt's Lady Nebula's Palette, because I like the original theme and it fits well as a family attraction.
2. Second place is WaltWiz1901 with Around the Clock with Thomas. Your dark ride sounds like it has so much charm to it and could easily become a theme park classic.
1. First place goes to D Hulk with Mothra: Beauties of the Deep. Conceptually, this ride is classic 90s Universal and I think would be wildly popular.

Pitch a flat ride for Super Nintendo World
3.
This spot goes to Disney Warrior for Yoshi's Egg Twirl. Simple, but thematically effective.
2. Second place is ThemeParkPriest with Battle at Whispy Woods. It's such a funny idea for a ride.
1. First place is easy with Half/CartoonHalf/Human's Barrel Blast. Donkey Kong Country would really benefit from a family flat ride and the land has the space to put it in.

Create a new restaurant for Celestial Park
3.
Third is Disgruntled Walt with Macaroni Meteorite. You didn't describe the theming of the restaurant in any detail, but the idea of different macaroni dishes seems like it could make for a lot of interesting creative expressions.
2. Second place goes to Half/CartoonHalf/Human and the return of Cassini. While not an original idea, your elaboration on the interior makes it sound intriguing.
1. The winner is Brer Panther with the Lunar Eclipse Cafe. Thematically, it's just such an interesting idea and is the most fleshed out of the restaurant submissions that I could choose.

Honorable Mention: If I could award points to Architectural Guinea Pig for the Prometheus Bar and Lounge, I would, as I thought that was the strongest restaurant idea.

Describe a “little touch” for your new portal (like the Pikmen in SNW, or the dragon mister in Berk)
3.
Disney Warrior for Squidward's clarinet. How funny would it be to be walking through the Bikini Bottom and hear this squeaking out poorly played songs?
2. D Hulk takes second place with his deeper lore going into the Monsterverse because thematic depth is always appreciated.
1. WaltWiz1901 wins first with the charming inclusion of simple, but charming kinetic figures around the land. It's like shrinking down and stepping onto a model train set.

Describe your new land’s entry portal (an extra image here is encouraged! You all know by now, but please, no AI!)
3.
Disgruntled Walt takes third place with the Ent portal. It's very visually distinct and mysterious.
2. Brer Panther takes second with the Frostbite Falls portal, because the thing that stood out to me was the inclusion of fake snow. Those little extra effects like snow/fog/water will always make a big impact on how people remember themed environments.
1. WaltWiz1901 comes in first with the modelesque portal. It's simple, charming and is enhanced with the occasional steam effect to represent trains passing just beyond the hill.

Boardwalk

Ah, the Boardwalk! Known for its many, many pricey, boxy hotels. And for the finale of this OSC, we’re going to a pricy, boxy hotel that would probably fit right in on the Boardwalk - and totally destroying it!

Create a replacement for DisneySea’s Fantasy Springs Hotel

Totally demolish it, and build something brand new. Expand Fantasy Springs, create a new shopping district, do something totally out of left field: the sky's the limit!

This prompt is serendipitously due on July 4th at 12:00 AM, Disneyland Time (PST)

Tips ‘n’ Tricks

You all know the drill by now. This is naturally a very open ended prompt, but you’ll be judged on creativity and feasibility.

Community Chest Bonus Point

In an extra sentence or image, create a piece of farewell merchandise to the Fantasy Springs Hotel!

WONDERLAND

Curiouser and curiouser things are coming to Fantasy Springs in the form of a lavish new Wonderland miniland, where rabbit holes and looking glasses plunge guests into the world of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, repurposing and improving upon plans once made for neighboring Tokyo Disneyland.

Go for a spin on an out-of-control teacup in Alice’s Whimsical Wonderland Wander (a stellar dark ride fusing the madness of Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin with the scale and technology of Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast), get lost in the Tulgey Wood Trails walkthrough, celebrate with the Mad Hatter and March Hare in their boisterous Unbirthday Party Bash counter service restaurant, or savor a quick morsel at the Curious Oyster Seafood Shack courtesy of the Walrus and the Carpenter.

Then there’s the main draw whirring all across the miniland - The Catercoaster, a first-of-its-kind family coaster through Wonderland’s oversized flowers and vines noteworthy for its signature “metamorphosis” moment, where the caterpillar-themed coaster cars transform into butterflies and the traditional sit down coaster emerges from its cocoon lift hill as a suspended flying coaster.

Souvenir: Rubble from the thankfully demolished Fantasy Springs Hotel, sold by the pound.

Thebes Marina
1751326677340.png
Replacing the Fantasy Springs Hotel is this new land following in the tradition of Mermaid Lagoon and Arabian Coast - that is, it's based on a beloved Disney animated film from the 1990s, specifically, Hercules! Thebes Marina takes inspiration both from the "Big Olive" featured in the film and several real life Greek coastal towns, shady sundial salesmen and frazzled townsfolk roaming the streets - don't forget to stop by the Hercules Store and grab an action figure in the son of Zeus' likeness or a pair of "Air Herc" sandals. You can set sail with Telemachus in a dark ride based on Homer's The Odyssey, visit the Underworld in the live show Hades Live!, soar over Tokyo DisneySea aboard a winged horse in the suspended roller coaster Pegasus on Parade, watch kids run amok in the play area Phil's Training Camp, chug down a Herculaid at the counter service Nectar of the Gods, pose for pictures with Hercules and his friends, dine on such Greek delicacies like mousakka and baklava at the table service restaurant Zeus' Taverna, and even brave the mind-boggling Minotaur's Labyrinth (featuring an impressive A1000 animatronic Minotaur!).

Tokyo DisneySea's newest land will be a tropical paradise themed to the Hawaiian island that served as the setting for Lilo and Stitch, one of Japan's most popular Disney films. This land is anchored by the Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride, a coaster similar to Tron (but with comfortable seating) based on the iconic song where guests will feel like they are surfing while classic Elvis songs are playing. Stitch Encounter is also moved here from Tomorrowland (its old space is used for a new show themed to WALL-E and its new location is based on the Red One while also featuring an easter egg to the hotel this land replaced) and the land is rounded out by a water playground that incorporates Stitch's spaceship, a meet and greet area, and restaurants and shops that sell Stitch-themed items.

Bonus: Disney and the OLC partner up with Lego to release a Lego set based on the defunct hotel before releasing other sets based on TDL and TDS.

Thank you for all you're doing as Host. It's been a great competition! I didn't mean for my comment to come off as criticism. It is more of just a personal frustration with not being able to adjust to this season given the limited time I have had available. Looking forward to the new prompt and the rest of the comp!

Don’t worry about it, I didn’t read it as personal criticism at all! I’m always happy to discuss this kind of thing, it’s a lot of fun for me. Thank you for being a consistent and strong player this episode, despite your limited time!

Fantasia at Fantasy Springs

IMG_0677.jpeg

Disney & The Oriental Land Company have decided to shut down the Fantasy Springs Hotel at Tokyo DisneySea due to unknown reasons, but they have decided that for a replacement, Fantasy Springs would be expanded with a brand new 4th subland based around 1940’s Fantasia, adding a more “musical” touch to DisneySea.

Fantasia Wonderland (which is what the subland will be called, alongside Frozen Kingdom, Rapunzel’s Forest & Peter Pan’s Neverland) immediately transports guests into the fictional village of Symphonia, which contains references to segments from Fantasia, Fantasia 2000, & even the cancelled Fantasia 2006; There’s a toy store for shopping, a quick service restaurant taking place inside a concert hall & a bakery for dining, & the Tremendous Tunes Trail, which acts as a walkthrough mostly based around the more nature focused segments, such as Dance Of The Hours, The Pastoral Symphony, The Rite Of Spring, etc.

Yen Sid’s castle, accompanied by Bald Mountain acts as the central wienie to the sublands main E-Ticket, namely a combination a trackless darkride & a log flume: Fantasia: Thru Song & Sea, which starts of in The Sorcerers Apprentice segment, before we are washed away in a whirlpool due to Mickey’s magical brooms because they overdid their job, & we then go through a variety of Fantasia segments, climbing higher up to the peak of Bald Mountain, where we brave through Chernabog’s dark magic & plunge down back to Symphonia; if you happen to be afraid of heights, you can instead save yourself a seat for the magnificent return of Fantasmic! in a brand new permanent location, combining the best of both American versions.

Final Community Chest

Disney & OLC have salvaged all the interior items from the Fantasy Springs Hotel to auction them off to the Japanese.

Happy Valley Lake
The ultimate expansion to Fantasy Springs takes us to the world of Happy Valley, from the 1947 package film Fun and Fancy Free, wherein Mickey, Donald, and Goofy struggle to survive ever since the Golden Harp was stolen (until they find some magic beans...); a forced perspective beanstalk vanishing into the clouds overhead is the main visual weenie as you enter the land and walk towards the headliner attraction, while the main water feature is a sizable lake...in the shape of a giant FOOTPRINT!

The village contains some shops and quick-service dining options, but the main attraction is Mickey and the Beanstalk, a family-friendly E-Ticket (finally using the Kuka-arm tech) that follows Mickey and his friends up the Beanstalk to Willie the Giant's Castle to rescue the Golden Harp, while the Giant (in a Kongfrontation-esque set of encounters) pursues you.
1751556567265.png

For the kiddies who don't wish to accompany Mickey up the Beanstalk, his farm needs tending while he's away, so they can enjoy Mickey's Farmhouse Fest, an interactive play area themed to a farmhouse, with some simple farm animal-tronics and fun games.

Community Chest - The official in-park storyline involves Willie the Giant himself having demolished the Fantasy Springs Hotel, so a magnet is sold in the attraction gift shop of Willie breaking down the walls of the hotel.

Guilty Gear Resort

In order to celebrate Disney’s new friendship with ArcSys, Disney and ArcSys are teaming up to make a hotel complex dedicated to the famous Guilty Gear series (with nods to other ArcSys IP included for the longtime fans), where you can wake up okizeme style to “Baiken and Eggs” for a character breakfast, (though many of the more revealing/gruesome characters aren’t meetable) than go to “May’s Splash Zone” for a swim, before heading to the “Kliff Undersn Memorial Gym” for a workout, then shopping for merch at the “Valentine Family Trading Post”, all the while immersing yourself in the magical, post-apocalyptic world of Guilty Gear. The hotel’s events are semi-canon to the series as a whole, introducing some new plot developments and touching on lesser-known characters like Tyr and , elaborating upon them (this is why Kliff is still considered deceased) as part of the resort’s interactive game, a scavenger hunt where you find artifacts connected to the past history of ArcSys, as well as to GG lore. Yes, BlazBlue characters also appear in the character dining, and there’s even a vote to see which BlazBlue characters should return as Strive DLC (the future might see Battle Fantasia, Technos Japan, etc appearances).

Community Chest: A DLC stage in Strive is based on the discontinued hotel, with characters from various extinct attractions (Dreamfinder, Waldo C. Graphic, Mr. Toad, the Br’ers, etc) in attendance as stage cameos.

Moana’s Island

Moana-119.png
After leading guests to Arendelle, Never Land, and Corona, Fantasy Springs sheds its unsightly hotel in favor of a fourth mini-land: Motunui, home of fearless ocean voyager Moana. Guests can set sail with her to restore the heart of Te Fiti as they join Moana’s Quest for Te Fiti (an immersive, cutting-edge boat ride using the magnetically-propelled system presently utilized by Shanghai Disneyland’s Pirates of the Caribbean), cool themselves off at the Maui’s Splash Bash water play area, and grab a snack or a souvenir at the village’s Motunui Market.

One of the Motunui Market’s vendors sells Lincoln Logs-style construction sets with the pieces made to look like washed-up beachwood, one of which is a model of the Fantasy Springs Hotel.

Projection Mapping | A Complete Guide to Interactive Projection Mapping

After the sudden disappearance of the Fantasy Springs Hotel (the explanation being a combination of Mickey, Peter Pan, and over-caffeinated double-shot espressos), OLC set out to create a solid and realistic expansion plan to address the original concerns of the hotel, set into twp parts: First, as a replacement for the massive hotel, a new, smaller
400 roomed hotel is constructed in place of the Fantasy Chateau (behind Arendelle), and themed to a mountainside summer resort named Elsa and Anna's Royal Summerhaus Resort for the royal Arendelle family.

Meanwhile, the gardens and Grand Chateau would become the fourth area of the park,
the Heart of Fantasy Springs, where a forest trail is created, adding on even more rockwork statues and flower bushes recreate scenes from Disney's animated films, slowly blending in towards the area's main attraction: the Cavern of Dreams, an interactive exhibition featuring projection mapping in an incredible new way.

Through five rooms, guests interact in different glowing realms of Fantasy, exploring the flow of light and color in
the Zone (from Pixar's Soul), discover the winding caverns of Lalotai where a giant Tamatoa crab animatronic lives (from Moana), Remy's Kitchen featuring a wash of red and golden textures and interesting smells (from Ratatouille), listen and create music in the growing world of Symphonia (from Fantasia), and finally step into a world of glowing dreams in the Cavern of Dreams, creating DisneySea's most unique attraction of all!

Community Bonus: After a large pile of plaster, cement, and more suddenly appeared in a field in Kyoto (the explanation being Yensid, Tinker Bell, and a large golden broom to punish Mickey with), OLC discovered the pile to be made up of the original hotel- and in commemoration of it, they used pieces of the hotel to create small Disney character artworks by professional artists to sell as merchandise for the original hotel!

Wandering Oaken's Sliding Sleighs Coaster

2023-hong-kong-disneyland-world-of-frozen-wandering-oakens-sliding-sleighs-ride--3646458329.png

Even with the addition of Fantasy Springs, Tokyo DisneySea is in need of another family attraction–this time in a roller coaster with animatronic scenes. Not simply a copy of the short Hong Kong attraction, this sleigh ride increases the footprint of the ever-popular Frozen Kingdom with a 2000-foot long track (similar in length as Seven Dwarfs Mine Ride) that features more curves and bunny hops. In a final scene, audio animatronic Sven is laying on the ground with a dizzy look on his face and Olaf’s carrot nose is back on his face.

Boardwalk Reviews

I’ll preface this by saying to everyone: thank you for playing. This has been a fantastic game, with thoroughly high quality - I’ve had a hard time deciding the winner almost every round. We’ve had an amazing time here that wouldn’t’ve been possible without all of you.

Wonderland

@D Hulk

Wonderland is one of my favorite fictional worlds, so you’ve hit your mark here! As an addition to Fantasy Springs, this strikes a great tone, very in-line with the rest of the land. The ride selection is top notch, and the Catercoaster is pretty much exactly what Fantasy Springs needs! The restaurant descriptions are a delightful touch.

Community Chest: Wonderfully vicious!

Thebes Marina

@Brer Panther

I love that this serves as a sort of double-addition as both an expansion to Fantasy Springs, and as a new “port” for TDS! Once again, the ride selection is excellent, but… another boat ride? I suppose it’s somewhat unavoidable in a park with “sea” in the name, though, so I won’t fault you for it. Hades Live! sounds like it would quickly develop a cult following, while the Minotaur’s Labyrinth is a well-used trope in Armchair Imagineering for a reason!

Kauai

@Disney Warrior

Another novel port, and another headlining roller coaster - amazing! It’s really a clever concept, again marrying DisneySea and Fantasy Springs while also bringing some diversity to the park’s ride lineup. My main nitpick with this pitch is that, while what’s there is delightful, I wish there was just a little bit more to it!

Community Chest: I had way too many Lego sets growing up, so I think this is fantastic.

Fantasia

@Half/CartoonHalf/Human

Ah-ha, I just recently did the puzzle you used for your image! If I could give you a bonus point for that, I would. Your shopping and dining is fleshed out to a commendably balanced degree - I can tell you took my note from last round to heart, and I’ll note that your pitches have gotten stronger and stronger as this episode has gone on! Although I’m not entirely sure how it would be done, the centerpiece dark ride sounds like it would be incredibly innovative. I do wonder if you knew that Fantasmic is already at TDS, though? ;)

Community Chest: RMS Olympic style, I see!

Happy Valley Lake

@Disruntled Walt

I’m somewhat of a sucker for package films - watched a whole bunch of them during the pandemic. This is another very natural extension to Fantasy Springs! I would’ve liked to see a bit more detail on the Happy Valley area itself, but honestly, there’s two centerpieces to this pitch: the groundbreaking, sure to be humorous and epic dark ride, and the absolutely amazing detail that is the lake in the shape of the Giant’s footprint. Genuinely, the latter makes me smile - it’s really clever. Farmhouse Fest is a wonderful cherry on top!

Community Chest: This is another clever detail. If I had two words to describe this pitch, it would be clever details!
