I’m taking a page from @Tuvalu 's playbook and combining our 2025 adventures together. Perhaps I’ll even keep it (mostly) updated?? Lol

Thank you all in advance for joining along on our adventures! I have so much fun sharing with all of you! ♥️

Let the festival fun begin…

When we were through paying tribute to what was and what will be, we headed back into Galaxy's edge to ride RoR.

I couldn't escape what was next...

Ross and I did choose to skip a backstage pass. We let the girls go on by themselves.

The park was closing at 10PM and we were planning to go to the first show of Fantasmic!, but I was vetoed! Instead Hope made a purchase...

IMG_3132.JPG

Then we went to battle it out in Andy's backyard one more time. But first a ride on Slinky.

IMG_3268.JPG

Low and behold, Ross did it!!!

We made our way to Fantasmic!

I was amazed that the stadium was only about half full.

Right before the show began, a CM instructed everyone to raise their lightsabers. It was awesome. I know my pictures don't do it justice and I can only image how grand it was earlier at a full show!

IMG_3169.JPG

Fantasmic! was awesome as always.

We got a Lyft back to The Residence Inn. On the ride, Our driver almost crashed into a car in front of us. He was following too fast and the car in front stopped short and we almost hit it. Julia who was in the middle in the back seat and not buckled, went flying into the front and hit her head on the seat. It was very scary.. Needless to say, I did not give a glowing review for our driver. I made a note that of we ever got him again to cancel it. I would not get back into a car with him.

Once we got back and knew Julia was okay, we went right to bed. I had an awesome day, (with the exception of our Lyft ride). I'm not sure if my family enjoyed it as much as I did, but it was a memory I will cherish forever. As nerdy as that sounds!

Day 8, May 5th 2025

Today was the earliest we all woke up, or at least the earliest we all were ready to walk out the door, and that’s because we had a very special breakfast reservation. We hopped into our Lyft and headed for Whispering Canyon Café. We had never been there before and were very excited. It wasn’t really much where we were eating, but who we were eating with.

IMG_4634.jpg

We met @Tuvalu and Woody and had a lovely breakfast. I have to say we would definitely return. The food was great and Cindy, the server was hilarious! As Tu mentioned in her TR, Ross had ordered a drink and Cindy told him they were out of it, so he ordered a different drink, and she announced they were out of that too. I seriously thought she was kidding! Of course, she was not! It was just too funny.

Now a word on Mickey waffles...

IMG_3316.JPG

My crew had been ingesting Mickey waffles everyday, and this morning was no different. We all ended up ordering them!

I think all of us had the same question we wanted to resolve... were they the same as the ones at the Residence Inn. The answer?? NO. They were clearly much better tasting. lol

Julia even got to take part in a horse race.

IMG_3312.JPG

It was so much fun and it was great for Ross to see that I was NOT the only crazy lady taking pictures of menus and food. Thank you @Tuvalu !! ♥️

After a wonderful breakfast and a lovely time chatting together, we said goodbye and went our separate ways.

We headed out to catch a bus for Epcot. The time said there wasn’t going to be one for about 25 minutes, but within five minutes one arrived. Score!

Once inside, we checked out the new Pin Traders store. Julia was considering getting a passport and Hope was too, but they decided to think about it. Ross was so happy they decided against it… you know how he feels about these things. Lol

I was checking out the magic bands because mine had stopped glowing. It was very odd. It glowed when I plugged it in to charge, but it no longer glowed or rattled about while in the parks. I wasn’t sure if it was working 100%. I asked a cast member in the store but she had no idea.

Magic Band Update: I looked it up on the app and it seems it was not linked, which I have to say is bizarre because it always used to be. It’s the only MB I’ve used for the past several trips. I guess I’ll find out on our next trip.

We went to ride Figment.

Oh dear Figment, you need so much love!! It stopped right at the point before you enter his Imagination Open House.

IMG_3368.JPG

His animatronic stopped at one point and we sat there for a few minutes. Some of the audio stopped as well. There was no announcement, so we all just waited. Hope turned around and said, “I think we might get evacuated!” I told her to relax, the CM’s would come and get us if we had to get off. Ross, who had nodded off to sleep, I suppose heard me say, “get off”, so he jumped out of sleep and almost started to stand up and get out of the vehicle!! I pulled him back down quickly! He said if the door was open, he would have just got out without thinking!

The one section still not working!!

After a short stop in the gift shop, we went to watch the Pixar Shorts. I figured Ross could complete his nap without a vehicle to jump out of. lol

Our time for GoG had arrived, so we headed there..

IMG_3379.JPG

We got my favorite – I Ran. We took a glimpse of Test Track 3.0 – Hope is excited.

IMG_3381.JPG

It was time to go journey around the world. Food & drinks for everyone!

In Mexico, I got the chocolate flan, while Julie got the chocolate terrarium at the place before. I also got another cucumber margarita. I had wanted to get the empanadas from the regular stand, but there were so many people, the line was insane. Mexico was crazy busy and soon I realized why. It was Cinco de Mayo! Duh!!!

IMG_3385.JPG

We did manage to get on the boat ride. After sailing through Donald’s Mexico, we headed over towards Norway to visit the frozen sisters.

We stopped in China for some vegetable dumplings and a mango bubble tea. I was thankful that Hope still had her backpack and we did not repeat that episode.

IMG_3398.JPG

Ross and Hope got fruit parfaits both minus the chili sauce.
IMG_3399.JPG
IMG_3402.JPG

We were on line for Germany to get some potato pancakes and pretzel bread when the skies decided they wanted to open up and downpour. I can’t complain, we hadn’t really experienced any rain this trip. We took cover inside the Germany pavilion and we were “forced” to get pretzel bread pudding. Lol

IMG_3408.JPG

IMG_3409.JPG

By the time we were done, the rain had stopped. It literally down poured for about 10 minutes and then the sun shown once again. We went back out and got our potato pancakes and the pretzel bread, ham and cheese. Both were OK, nothing great.

We stopped in Italy, which was surprising because usually we bypass everything they have, which always does make me sad since I am Italian.

IMG_3415.JPG

However, this time Ross got the enchilada and the cannoli. The cannoli did not look like the cannoli in the picture however he did enjoy it, but we had to laugh at the stark difference in appearance.

IMG_3420.JPG
IMG_3419.JPG

I got the Italian margarita which tasted like water downed fruit punch. I don’t know what kind of tequila they use, but it doesn’t taste like tequila. It taste more like Hawaiian punch.

IMG_3421.JPG

Everyone was hot and getting grumpy, so we all took a quick restroom break in America and we all decided to go and watch the show.

IMG_3423 2.JPG

When we headed into the American Adventure, the regular entrance was closed and they had us walk through the exit. It was strange. We just sat on the floor. And we actually could hear the current show going on since we were right outside the exit. But it was cool and we could relax and we could sit down. It was pretty cool because the Plain White Tees were playing for Garden Rocks and we got to hear them while we waited to go in for the show. One of the band members was talking to the audience and he said how this was only their first show, but they would be playing two more times tonight and three days total and he asked if anyone is going to watch all 12 shows. Of course, I thought @riverside ! Lol
