If true and they use that space it might be because the’ re eyeing a future Inside Out attraction in some of that space behind the Pixar Promenade stage/ Incredicoaster.

I wonder if Disney would ever consider removing Incredicoaster and the fun wheel. The space could be used for Inside Out, Monsters Inc, and an indoors Incredibles ride. I also want a Beymax attraction by San Fransokyo.

If there is no parades how do they do OBB? The parade is one of the main selling points, I wonder if it’s moving back to DL especially during the construction years.

I'm psyched about yesterday's announcements, but the Coco news is the best part. I think its placement in DCA is perfect and will enhance that corner of the park. Glad that Paradise Gardens will live on, I love sitting by the bandstand when I need a break.

Hope we see some more concept art soon.

I wonder if the plan now for the bridge to Simba would be putting it in the Paradise Gardens area maybe taking out the Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta.

Maybe. Now that it’s confirmed they are both going in DCA proper really makes you wonder about the possibilities for the Simba lot. I’d imagine anything on the Simba lot is 10+ years out though.

Also,

The bridge was just a concept for zoning approval, so we have no idea if that will ever be the plan.

It’s funny the Simba lot was all the rage and now with all the new attractions confirmed to be going into DCA proper it seems like it might now be taking a back seat to new Tomorrowland and possibly even a DL Forward expansion on the Disneyland side.

I really feel besides maybe one smaller ride or land Simbalot is just gonna be hotels and/or expansion for Downtown Disney.

I hadnt considered this but if they are moving forward with a third gate in the Toy Story lot this would make sense. Put a smaller version of what they had in mind for Toy Story in Simba which so happens to connect to the shopping/ dining district you already have and you’re last/ only shot at a third gate at Toy Story. Considering all the hotel buildings towering over Simba, the land is much better suited to be dining/ shopping district with DVC/ hotels.

The Simba lot sounds like it would be logistically easier to develop than the Stitch lot on the DL side, and with the EGW likely to be completed in time for LA2028, you would want to strike while the iron is hot by announcing the first phase of the Simba buildout at D23 2028.

Theory/idea: What's the chances the Coco ride footprint will also eat up part of Disneyland drive and they redo the layout of that street to cut through more of the Simba lot? I ask this because 1. All these updates involve the changing of roads/actual infulstructure except seemingly this so what if there is a change in infulstructure and 2. instead of building a bridge over DL Drive over to future park areas in Simba lot they move Disneyland Drive to exit over on Walnut instead of Katella
Literally zero. None of this was part of the approval process for the updates to the DRSP that the city approved last year.

Why is it easier? Seems about the same to me. But the reason I said Simba would happen last potentially is because DCA is getting 4 new attractions and TL redo is overdue at DL. Also if they’re chomping at the bit to add more princesses ( frozen, tangled, BatB etc) to the parks that would most likely go in DL proper or on the DL side of DL forward. What’s the hot IP that they don’t have represented that they need to rush into the Simba lot? Zootopia? Moana? More Marvel? More Star Wars?

To me the ideal Simba lot buildout would involve one main land like a catch all Disney Animation area as the first phase, then down the line you fill out the rest with two mini lands. Those could involve Fox IP.
