Magic Kingdom needs capacity, and a theater show during the heat of summer is a no brainer. I doubt any updates are happening to the current show, so hopefully it's back online before the extreme summer heat arrives.

Does HoP bring in the crowds?

Its 700 seat theater and lobby area helps absorb crowds who would otherwise be elsewhere

It's why you have that kind of capacity in the park to begin with

Individually, Tom Sawyer Island, the Riverboat and HoP may not be major draws, but any guests experiencing them means fewer guests queuing for other things or in different guest accessible areas.

Thrown in Big Thunder Mountain and the Frontierland RR depot and it's a lot for the world's busiest theme park to lose.

Assuming nothing else breaks down or closes unexpectedly.

Yep, Disney parks should always have a few attractions that are reliably available with a reasonable wait.

The advent of Fastpass has meant it's harder and harder to find an attraction that is accessible when every other standby line in the park is long.

A friend pointed that out when Universe of Energy closed we lost arguably the only attraction like that at Epcot. Sure, it was dated, but even on the busiest days you could walk right in and experience a relatively lengthy and relaxing attraction. It was something you could "just do" when everything else was super busy and/or required planning.

Capacity is always a good thing. Having a few attractions outside the reservations system is as well.

Some of you want to keep the presidents on stage.
Some of you want to replace the show with Muppets.

I am a man of the people, and have figured out a way to please everyone.
1. Keep the presidents on stage, old and current, like has always been done.
2. Replace their voices with Muppet characters.
3. During the presidential roll call, instead of each president nodding when their name is heard, have them yell out: "PRESENT!" but with a different Muppet character for each.
4. The more popular Muppets (Kermit, Ms. Piggy, Animal, etc etc) can voice the more popular presidents (Lincoln, Washington, and whomever the current sitting president is at the time).
5. Swedish Chef always narrates the short film leading up to the presidents reveal, each version, every update.

Problem = solved.
You're welcome.

I would quite literally never leave the theater.

Did trump do the oath of office last time, or an address? If theyve already got a recording of the oath then this is easy. Swap the two dudes locations and get this thing open.

If they really wanted to add some quick capacity just use the screens to play patriotic cartoons/some sort of nat geo American documentary on a loop for the summer and have it be go at your own pace gallery
That sounds really awful... What a shame it would be to remove a major attraction and replace it with a "cool down Zone"
