Eh…. I feel conflicted about things like that.

I’m all for giving the CM’s something special - they deserve it. But it’s kind of a middle finger to the fans at the same time - which is the general attitude I’ve felt from WDW.
I think it’s fair. I don’t think that fans are entitled to the last show/ride on anything. It’s not like Disney is putting this behind a paywall and having a $3000 ticket to the last show. The 7th is still going to be the last public showing, this is just a special encore for the people who make the magic possible.

True. Giving it to the CM’s is more generous then monetizing it I’ll give you that for sure.

Does anyone know of any non official events for this finale? I know I missed out on the farewell to illuminations event that I would have gladly paid for had I known about it before it started lol.

Never say never, but attractions that are getting archived and a likely a tribute show about it's historic significance doesn't feel like it's coming back.

So they just did the POV of rise of the Resistance so guess that is leaving ;)

J/k

To take a more optimistic look, maybe this recording is to properly capture the entire experience SO THAT they can recreate it which they could do with just having the film

What WDW should do is give their CMs the opportunity to manage a five hour long queue for the guests that overcrowd the park on MV3Ds last day and break up fights among the guests at the end of the line jockeying to be in the last show. *That's* what WDW could do for the CMs!!!
I've got popcorn and drinks ready to watch the insanity. Closings have almost become a spectator sport at this point

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
With the capacity this theatre can hold, I'm not really sure how people expect this to have a 3 hour queue length... But it would be nice for the queue to utilize the extended queue on the side a bit for sure. Just to kinda see it in action (not for star wars)

And I agree. This is a huge middle finger to fans, huge middle finger to muppets, huge middle finger to the history of the park, and a huge middle finger to Jim Henson.

I know for a fact that a lot of the infrastructure is joining spectromagic in the heap.

Props will all be saved, filming is for a props and puppet display in Atlanta ...
That’s fine. They built a duplicate in California - they could do it again if they wanted.

There are attractions that are so complex to rebuild - they will 99% not happen. Movie ride and energy being great examples.

But muppets could reopen pretty easily if the desire was there.
