DHS Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

I don’t think much of this land works without AA monsters. Screens are okay in windows as you’re walking, but I hope they learned from SWGE that a city needs citizens. As you suggest, many could be simple animated figures, though.
It's like how Berk wouldn't work nearly as well if the majority of dragons weren't physical. I think static figures in windows, maybe a Yeti AA near a snow cone stand, evil blue Mike Wazowski from the TV show (seriously look it up!) somewhere in the land as an AA, would be enough. I just want it to feel largely.... alive?

His name is Gary Gibbs.

I think people are setting themselves up for disappointment expecting multiple AAs in this land

Would love to be wrong though
I think it's likely we get an AA of sorts of the Yeti and Roz, the GA loves them too much to skip those. I'm just curious if Disney thinks other monsters justify an AA.

Like, example: Berk! Cloudjumper has an AA, one of the main character dragons, Stormfly has a meet and greet because she's Astrid's dragon, Snow Wraith is a surprise because that's from a TV show can't say much there. They obviously gave the "big stars" AAs/more intricate stuff and left a bit of easter eggs in the land of other dragons fans would know.

But outside of the 23-19 orange fuzzy guy, does Monsters Inc have any characters that fall in "not a main character but people still know them" area that'd push Disney to make an AA?

I feel like “boo” needs an appearance somewhere as well.

It would be cool if they could include Randall but I know he is considered a villain.

I feel like most fans of the film would recognize Needleman and Smitty (they're even in the Laugh Floor, albeit only as a voice-over).

I suppose the Harryhausen's octopus chef would qualify as well?

(Sadly relegated to Sesame Land.)

Definitely wouldn't take much - like you said even static figure in some of the upper windows or on balconies, some minimal movement AAs elsewhere. Just get some movement.

Be great if there are some meet and greet that are visible to those in the land, kinda like how Woody/Jessie meet in TSL

Did see Mama Melrose removed from MDE map

I just hope they move the mozzarella sticks they had there to another location, that was the standout dish there to me

The characters of Monsters are special, but it is not a world people would just want to visit.

A perfect example of not everything needs to be an entire land.

We could have gotten the indoor coaster and still kept the all accessible well produced attraction that has no replacement.
I mean, it does have a replacement though. It was explicitly confirmed to.
