Ratatouille: Kitchen Calamity!
1746704142279.png
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure is completely gutted and turned into an actual dark ride as opposed to a glorified simulator. Physical set pieces and animatronics abound, replacing the giant screens, as guests join Remy on a madcap adventure through the streets and sewers of Paris - the climax, of course, taking place in the kitchen of a five-star restaurant where everything is twice our size! Oh, and the ride vehicles are on a track now, allowing them to actually zip through the scenes instead of just crawling along at the pace of a snail.

The Hall of… Muppet Presidents?
1746707056320.jpeg

Replacing the polarizing (for obvious reasons) Hall of President’s is an experience that combine Muppet chaos with historical reenactments of iconic moments of American history that will make sure to be non partisan and just be pure fun. Scenes in this show will include the singing of the Declaration of Independence and signed by Kermit Washington, Fozzie Roosevelt taking down the monopolies of America, and finally a grand hall of Muppet presidents (except Miss Piggy, she’s in the background) where in the end, they all start a war fighting each other because they have completely different ideologies, at the end, there is a small message for this country to stay unified and not fall under darkness of hatred and bigotry. This show combines regular hand puppets with screen technology and it will take up the entirety of the old HOP building, in connection to this new show, the Muppets would return to Liberty Square, this show try’s to fill the hole that MuppetVision 3D did.

Everyone knows that Tomorrowland Speedway is loud, smelly, and just a big waste of space, so why not replace it with an attraction that uses a modern IP (that actually fits the theme of the land)? This ride will be an electric car ride with sets/audio animatronics (including indoor scenes) based on the Sugar Rush video game from the Wreck-it Ralph movies. Follow Ralph, Vanellope, Fix-it Felix, and the others as they open up their racetrack to outsiders following the events of the first movie, where the only goal is to cross the finish line before other guests do.

THE SECRETS OF THE SEAS

Replacing the old and frankly uninteresting The Seas with Nemo and Friends at EPCOT, this new attraction sees the near total gutting of the interior of the former SEAS pavilion to provide it with a brand new aquarium interior as well as space for a brand new, state of the art dark ride. The attraction, The Secret of the Seas, sees guests boarding a submarine to travel across the seven seas to get a look at various iconic shipwrecks )such as the RMS Titanic, RMS Lusitania, and the HMS Victory) and learn about how these shipwrecks have proven unexpectedly useful for scientists to study ocean bacteria, the movement of the tides, and the gradual warming of Earth's oceans. The submarine vehicle is suspended on a rail above similar to Peter Pan's Flight and moves through massive interior show rooms that use lighting tricks as well as rocking motions to simulate moving through the sea as it passes next to and around half a dozen massive scale models of six scientifically significant shipwrecks, eventually unloading at a refreshed SeaBase Alpha where guests can learn more about oceanic research.

I would've slated a certain Magic Kingdom attraction for replacement, but since I already did that last season, I figured I'd steer away from repeating myself and turn my attention to another, much-overrated attraction...

The Troll King’s Heart

1746678734901.png
Replacing the misplaced and thrown-together Frozen Ever After in EPCOT’s Norway (a new Frozen attraction is built in the Magic Kingdom to offset the swap), this new Maelstrom successor presents a more whimsical and adventurous spin on Norwegian folklore, telling the story of how a band of trolls trained the first Norwegians to become brave sea-faring Vikings. An original song in the same vein as “Compass to Your Heart” from Sindbad’s Storybook Voyage, plus a bunch of lively scenes realized with Audio-Animatronics, practical effects, and more fleshed-out sets, promise to make this a worthy monument to Norway’s history!

POSEIDON’S QUEST

Transform The Living Seas with Nemo and Friends to POSEIDON’S QUEST with a three-part edutainment experience that includes: 1) interactive (w/Disney app) queue exhibits hosted by Poseidon (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson), then 2) travel to a contemporary underwater science lab (bring back the hydrolators). Finally, 3) guests embark on an educational aquarium journey with information brought to life by a variety of Disney’s IP characters associated with the sea, such as Moana, Ariel, Nemo, Water from Elemental, and even Pinocchio via his harrowing whale adventure. Ride vehicles feature video displays and quizzes for a truly immersive experience into the depths of Poseidon’s world.

Symbiote Wars (Replacing WEB SLINGERS)

Basically, this ride is again a dark ride, with some degree of interactive elements, but based on the Maximum Carnage storyline instead, allowing you to confront various 90s Symbiote enemies with your webs, rather than mere spider-drones that go down in one hit. Featuring the hit song “Carnage Rules”, you will confront scenes with a mix of props and screens more akin to Universal than the nearly-pure screens of the original, allowing for easy overhauling of the ride for the Marvel vs. Capcom Celebration event, which adds a Symbiote Akuma as a boss to tackle.

"Circle of Life River Adventure" (replacement of Kali River Rapids in Animal Kingdom)
By: Orange-Bird

My ride is a replacement of the Kali River Rapids in which, Guests set off on a scenic river tour of the Pride Lands led by Simba, showcasing peaceful savannas, watering holes, the outlands with timon and Pumba and animal herds, when a sudden storm surge knocks the raft off course. Swept into the darker regions of the kingdom, riders pass through an eerie elephant graveyard, encounter hyenas, and brave a wildebeest stampede in a canyon, all while trying to find their way back to Pride Rock as you deal with the splash of the rocky banks and waterfalls. (all animals will be animatronics) With Rafiki’s help and Mufasa’s spirit appearing in the clouds (Steam affect), guests safely return to Pride Rock, where Simba welcomes them back in a grand finale set to “Circle of Life.”

With The Little Mermaid still being represented at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, it’s time for the book-report “Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid” to give way to “Raya’s Dragon Kingdom.” Set after the 2021 movie that performed well on Disney+, guests will visit (via the Omnimover ride system) the different lands and dragons found in Kumandra. The final scene involves all of Raya’s friends and their dragons (some as rather elaborate AAs) celebrating the New Year at sunset in a garden by her palace.

A Whole New World would act as a replacement for The Magic Carpets of Aladdin with one goal, being literally anything but an exact copy of Dumbo, with it instead taking the role of the slightly more rare Peoplemover clone, having the carpets “fly” (ride on a thin track) over the Agrabah subarea (with the entrance and exit being located where the current ride is, while retaining the camel at that spot ), as well as the rest of Adventureland, kinda like the actual scene in the movie! Riders will be left gleefully exclaiming “It’s not an exact copy of Dumbo!”.

Rafiki's Conservation Celebration
rafikis-planet-watch-disneys-animal-kingdom-10202018-30.jpg

Replacing the wildly out of place Animation Experience at Conservation Station in Disney's Animal Kingdom is Rafiki's Conservation Celebration, a 15-minute stage performance featuring Rafiki of Disney's The Lion King alongside his animal friends from across the world. This show will be a pop up performance with no seating that allows guests exploring the Conservation Station to spend as much or as little time enjoying the show as they would like. The show features an audio recording of Rafiki as well as education staff with a rotating cast of live animals from Animal Kingdom's ambassador collection including aardvarks, fennec foxes, snakes, owls, and much more as they help to tell the stories of our planet and the conservation efforts Disney Conservation Fund supports, bringing back a focus on conservation at, well, Conservation Station.

Aladdin Pt 2: Manic Magical Improv, Sight Gags, and Prince Ali - Blog - The Film Experience

Enter the extraordinary Cave of Wonders in this E-ticket spinning roller coaster flying straight to Tokyo DisneySea! Replacing the Magic Lamp Theater at the Arabian Coast land, and giving the park and land it's much needed thrilling coaster adventure while replacing an outdated one, the premise is simple - board a spinning magic lamp and join Aladdin on a crazy adventure to the Cave of Wonders to show up at the Genie's fabulous party! Being a downsized version of Cosmic Rewind at Epcot, the attraction features a thrilling backwards launch- transitioning from the dark and dangerous exterior caverns into the grand treasure chamber, where the Genie puts on a full "Friend Like Me" pop show for all the family to enjoy!

MASTERS OF THE MYSTIC ARTS: DOWN THE WITCHES' ROAD
1747340817906.jpeg

In Walt Disney Studios Park (Paris), Theatre des Stars is removed in favour of an expansion to the Avengers Campus, bringing the realms of the mystic arts and witchcraft in a highly immersive attraction that combines elements of a walkthrough and escape room.
In the ruins of an old French villa, Kamar-Taj mages have found a mysterious pentagon-shaped portal to the legendary Witches' Road, inviting guests to take the road and test their own minds, imaginations, and magic in a series of trials.

Each trial varies, encompassing different types of magic and puzzle-solving, aided by a roster of magical Marvel characters including Doctor Strange, Wong, and their mages, and "memories of the Road", bringing Agatha Harkness and Wanda Maximoff back together in new roles as the trial keepers.

Replacing Monsters Inc. Mike & Sulley To The Rescue at DCA mainly because I think it has overstayed it’s welcome, is a brand new darkride not based around any certain IP, but an original darkride about Hollywood’s long history of movie making. Guests will still board the taxi cab ride vehicles, redecorated of course, & instead of entering Monstropolis, we now enter into a Tinseltown of yesteryear, & ride through a recap of Hollywood’s biggest achievements, from the days of black-&-white silent films, to the modern era of CGI. This darkride also contains elements from the defunct Great Movie Ride from Hollywood Studios, making this ride act like its spiritual successor.

Replacing “Reflections of China” (because we have the internet now) guests will learn the significance of the traditional Chinese dragon, utilizing the existing 360 theater, but with enhancements.

These are not movie dragons - they are revered in Chinese culture, they control the weather (which will happen inside the theater) and are said to have fathered emperors.

You will feel the wind as you see them fly and prance around the 360 screens, culminating with a traditional Chinese dragon making its way down the center of the theater (creating selfie opportunities even better than a meet & greet!)

HULK’S GUEST REVIEWS

Hello, everyone, and welcome to the start of another One Sentence Competition! I’m here tonight only to provide guest reviews for our practice prompt – which I hope everyone enjoyed, incidentally – and afterwards @Earlie the Pearlie will begin the game proper. This initial pre-round was pretty much just for fun, and for getting your creative Imagineering juices flowing. Even so, I’ll still be picking my three favorite proposals (unranked). Let’s dive right in!

Just a picture? A bold strategy! I’d like to know more.

No, wait, your text was in white! I had to highlight it. Nnnnnot a great presentation style. (Was this a mistake?)

Anyway, this is an interesting reuse of the CircleVision format. Minor, but interesting. This retains Epcot's core values.

The History of Hollywood

I appreciate this idea to give DCA something without an IP attached, something which returns to the park’s thematically pure Californian roots, but stronger than it started. This truly feels like what they should’ve put in this location instead of Superstar Limo (maybe the worst Disney ride I’ve ever experienced), something classical, timeless, and with a certain amount of Great Movie Ride DNA. Very intriguing.

Masters of the Mystic Arts: Down the Witches’ Road

Doctor Strange really does lend himself to a walkthrough, or an escape room, or a funhouse. These are simply attraction types, C-tickets at best, but the type which can be truly special when done well. Your description does sound that special, and that’s all thanks to your evocative descriptions…I haven’t watched Agatha All Along to know 100% of the source material.

Aladdin: Cave of Courage

Right out of the gate, you’ve identified a gap in DisneySea’s otherwise-stellar lineup (a thrill coaster), you’ve identified an existing attraction which underdelivers, and you’ve idenfitied a combination of theme and ride system (et cetera) which solves all of this. The Cosmic Rewind coaster type intrigues me…I think there’s so very much more which could be done with it. If the rumors are true that Tokyo Disneyland’s new Space Mountain will be Cosmic Rewind 2.0, then it might be redundant in DisneySea…I had to find a nitpick in an otherwise grand idea.

This might be the smallest attraction proposed, but that speaks of your famed passion for animals and Animal Kingdom. It continues Animal Kingdom’s themes of conservation and education, and it’d cost nearly nothing to execute. I appreciate any proposal which respects a park’s core values.

A Whole New World

Agreed that Adventureland’s carpet spinner needs to go! So if Aladdin has to stay, then this is a great solution. PeopleMover-type attractions are always a winner – relaxing, kinetic, enriching, turning a whole land into the show scene for a ride. The carpet spinner turned this section of Adventureland into a bottleneck, which I fear your replacement cannot fix, but beyond that this is a total net positive for the land.

Raya’s Dragon Kingdom

Raya and the Last Dragon seems a little forgotten already, but its setting screams out for the immersive theme park treatment. We’ve seen fantastic attractions from forgotten films before – think WaterWorld or Splash Mountain – so this could surely work. The animatronics you‘ve included would alone make this an upgrade to the existing Little Mermaid ride.

In just three sentences, you’ve told a complete story! This could be the blueprint for the expected Lion King flume coming to Paris. Here in Animal Kingdom, I assume you’re reusing Kali’s existing river raft infrastructure? I’d like to know more about how Animal Kingdom’s deeper themes appear in this ride.

Symbiote Wars

Okay, so ANYTHING would be an improvement on Web Slingers! You’ve kept the existing ride type (DCA really didn’t need a second shooter dark ride), but within those limitations you’ve suggested a ride story that’s far more engaging than the spider-bots. I like the seasonal overlay as well.

Poseidon’s Quest

This is a fascinating attempt to turn back the tide (get it?) and restore some of Epcot’s original grandeur. There’s a lot going on here, from the central Poseidon idea, to app interactivity, various IP tie-ins, on-ride video displays. A simpler, more streamlined experience would improve this.
