Yes I'm sure the brand new park is going to request WDI ignore all the popular stories for their shiny new park and create attractions based on stuff no one has heard of.
Not putting words in mouth, but I think they meant new attractions period, not new IP content. Disney isn't going to allow a park to be built with its brand if it's not full of their IP.

I meant not full of clones, IP is fine. Tokyo Disney went with full on cloning, but times are different now and the competition is bigger.

The hot weather in Orlando is nothing compared to the UAE. Tourists keep in mind UAE frowns upon PDA, being drunk in public and alcohol drinking in non approved areas. Looks like it won’t be a typical day at Epcot.
I’d argue HK is still the worst park for heat, Abu Dhabi has a very dry heat

"He pointed out that hundreds of millions of people across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia are income-qualified ."

Here’s the quote on what they said when WaPo asked them how they plan to deal with the criticism:

“Disney is a global company with operations all over the world,” the company said in a statement. “We are always respectful of the countries and cultures where we do business, while always adhering to our own standards and values.”

Unless those standards and values get in the way of making a BOAT LOAD of money.

The hypocrisy and hubris is amazing.
Oh my good god. And I bet that "statement" was made without an ounce of irony.

Disgusting. Now I am truly finished with WDC.
