Check out the modern looking updates announced today for the DLP Sequoia Lodge. Seems like a room decor style that could be similar to what Lakeshore Lodge is getting. The Sequoia Lodge at Disneyland Paris has always had a very modern tank on the national parks / Frank Lloyd Wright style.

If they could just build new attractions, shows and lands as quickly as they’re building this resort, they might have something to compete with Epic Universe over the next couple of years. It’s funny how when they say that “dirt is being moved as we speak” they always mean for a new merchandise location or a new resort. They should have built a new theme park instead of all of this little stuff, and they should’ve done it two years ago. By not doing this, they have opened the door to Universal Orlando to become a solo destination, just like Disney always was.

Hotels are much easier to build than attractions.

This is just concrete being poured. There is so much more work needed, this is still at least a year away from opening.

Really? Not 2026?
Yeah, from the announcement:
"Disney has officially announced the development of a brand-new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resort hotel—Disney Lakeshore Lodge. Set to open in 2027, the new resort will be constructed within the same footprint as the previously announced Reflections—A Disney Lakeside Lodge project, which was shelved in 2020."

You know what's funny?

Aye, missed that. That is...a long time from now.

Alas, another California looking hotel. Disney has truly lost all imagination and further depresses me and pushes out my desire to visit the parks. Each time they have built something in the past few years it's been meh.... The destruction of the MK now has really put a nail in the coffin for me. But... I still have the memory's of the past.

Yes
There are six cranes at work. I pray that its not as awful as the poliday inn.

We had the misfortune to experience the Poliday inn last weekend while it was at full tilt. All the charm of the Jersey shore with fewer things to do or even purchase. Nothing says resort more than wall to wall palid flesh on astroturf punctuated with examples of boiled lobster complexions.
