I’m watching a vlog inside the park and it looks pretty amazing. The trees definitely need a few years of growth but it’s far greener than I expected reading many of the comments here. It’s very pretty.

It’s weird how Disney and Universal have their own distinct looks, this feels like a Universal park.

The portals feel a lot like the Galaxy’s edge tunnel transitions at DL, they should send Disney a thank you card for the great idea because it works extremely well going between areas.

I was kinda hoping they'd keep the restrictions till opening.
We are going June 19th so I could maybe have resisted the temptation to watch ride throughs etc for a month.
My self control won't stretch to 2 and a half months though. :D
There shouldn't be any POVs as they haven't lifted restrictions on the attractions themselves. You might see some stuff from the pre-shows though (I've already seen snippets of the Monsters pre-show and the Floo Network without all of the effects working)

None that I know of. The view when you walk in from the portal seems so vast, and so detailed, it' literally caused people to just gasp when I went. For myself, I admit to being a bit overwhelmed (Luna is way bigger that I expected). The combination of greenery, fountains, buildings (even the signs are so detailed), and music makes it unlike any other area of a park I've been to.
Thank you for your positive comments by someone who has actually been there. It's refreshing:)

No
I'm not defending the many flaws Six Flags has, but just wanted to point out that during the rare instances when it actually tries, it succeeds.

Well, both Great America parks were built by Marriott, so no. The only thing that Six Flags has done is vomit DC heroes everywhere.
My home park CGA has moved around many companies over the years. You can easily see the different of the front half (owned by Marriott) with its beautiful front entrance American-themed land, the also impressive attempt of imitating New Orleans Square as a land, and the sudden shift to Six Flag ownership with ugly concrete and bland theming.

I think Helios is on par with all of the Walt Disney World's in theme park park view rooms and suites of hotels with direct access to the theme park it is attached directly to.

I heard Universal Creative didn't like how the entertainment fit into Celestial Park. They thought that instead of enhancing the CP vibe, it was a vibe killer. So entertainment has to start over.
Local exec level saw it and realized that people are not going to stop and watch a live music band for very long as they rush their way to the other portals.

However, perhaps a bit misjudged as time goes on and people want to be enteratined besides rushing during TM previews before their limited time is up(and the first set of previews had a schedueled agenda, so even less people stopping)

The rooms remind me of the Contemporary (negative)
Next week(with next tweaks) it should be running full force and a better capacity.
I don’t believe capacity can improve that quickly but I really hope you’re right!

I meant to say weeks into the next "guest dates."
And better capacity is not full capacity. Ha.

Also, to the penguin, these previews arw doj g everything right as it has given TMs , as well as their loved o es a cha ce to enjoy the park as the rush of opening will habe their IDs and comp tickets blocked for awhile.
All while tinkering and ironing. No park has ever opened this "ready" before.
