Ah, yes. The ball pit that smelled of urine. And, of course, these little beauties:

I don’t think anyone was Really Nervous about it. However, when we talk about thae Parade Route Lighting Project. We were wondering how Starlight would be related to that.....

Yeah we still don’t know what’s going on with the lighting package. I don’t think it will be anything like Disneylands because if it was it seems that work would have been well underway by now. I think maybe a few floods here and there on the rooftops that will light up the buildings and trees. That alone would be a cool effect though.

The Lighting for Party Season already change color.

I’m confused. Some people on here tell me Disney needs to stop building e-tickets and focus on dark rides for young kids because we can’t compete with Epic.
I don't recall anyone saying there should be more C- and D-Tickets in order to compete with EU.

They say WDW needs more C- and D-Tickets to *increase capacity* without, at the same time, drawing in even more people who swarm to the parks for the newest and greatest E-Ticket rides.

Attractions attract people. Phenomenal attractions attract phenomenal crowds. Lesser attractions don't attract larger crowds which make crowding even worse.

Never fear! I heard some of the lyrics for the main song for the parade will be something along the lines on, "Part of your world... where I can let it go the distance! Tale as old as time... just around the riverbend... you're like a shooting star, you've got a friend in me, I wanna know about these strangers like me!" Lather, rinse, repeat for 8 minutes.
Ho ho! Very funny! Ha ha! It is to laugh!🙄

I think the answer is to do both. For every e-ticket attraction build one or two smaller experiences . Eg. a show or a smaller dark ride.

Don't you know, it's cool kid summer because everything they're advertising is actually going to keep you cool in the heat (2 indoor shows with AC), Moana and Kali River Rapids as water attractions, 2 waterparks opening at the same time and the night parade when the sun has gone away and it's slightly cooler

I won't pretend to know what I'm talking about here, but back during Halloween/Christmas season, insiders who were mentioning the parade lighting upgrades said those upgrades were already happening right before our eyes, you just had to know where to look to see it. So I'd guess that the upgrades have already been done or are currently in process, they just aren't very guest-facing or are subtle when they do it.

You know how this community is lol. They'll set fire to France again before saying about Disney that doesn't involve complaining

Please remember: when you sit down on the pavement on MSUSA at 8 pm this August for the parade, be sure to turn your body every 15 minutes to ensure an even sear by parade time. Nothing worse than your butt being burnt to a crisp while your chest is practically raw.
Only once in my life have I gotten a bad sunburn and I am constantly outside. Where did I get it? Waiting for Festival of Fantasy in the hub in April!!

People thought it might be the second one?

Before it was announced there was some chatter that they might scrap FoF and have an all new parade that could run both setting the day and then at night with light, projections, etc

Partly was thinking there might not be room in the backstage area for two sets of floats.

But I think once it was revealed to be a separate parade and FoF was staying it was understood to be a light parade with lights on the floats, etc

Am i missing something but this parade seems to be heavily geared towards girls….
It does seem to be, yeah. Most of Disney's more recent animated films are aimed more at girls (though boys can still enjoy them, I know).
You can like or dislike any movie, but saying it shouldn't be featured based on box office is plain wrong
I mean, isn't that how Disney thinks anyway? If they didn't think that, we'd probably have a Good Dinosaur attraction in Dinoland by now.

Encanto's apparently the exception because it did really well on streaming and I guess merchandise sells really well.
The streaming numbers don't suggest that's the case either.
I thought the streaming numbers for Wish were actually quite good.
Since Wish... We've only had Inside Out 2 and Moana 2 in over a year.
It probably wouldn't fit the more fairy tale-ish vibe of Starlight, but I think Inside Out would lend itself well to a nighttime parade.
