Had to change hotels this morning and move from Disney to universal. Was shocked to see it running

Wind speed was acceptable for most of the day for it to operate, but yeah, kinda jarring to see that operating when a hurricane is inbound.

If I recall correctly from the construction tracking of the skyliner, it only takes 1-2 hours to cycle all the gondalas off the track so probably not a big deal for them to run it as late as possible.

A number of first responders are staged inside Tropicana Field in St Pete. Hundreds of bed cots are on the playing field as their sleeping facilities.
