Strollers and negligence

I can't tell you how many times I've seen kids fly out of strollers due to people slamming into the curbs or bumps around the park. Some don't even stand a chance, it's like being ejected from a car. The worst are when people start running and hit the curb. The kids just fly out, just something I thought about recently. Has this been a common occurrence again? In 2020 I don't ever remember seeing it.

I cant remember seeing that but I'm sure kids get jostled around a lot and they certainly could get ejected. Disney should take a stand on this. Maybe they can get the Govt to start requiring the use of seat belts in strollers and start a buckle up campaign. How many lives could be saved. As they say about everything... Its for the children.

I think you will find this is an upcharge event for children under three only. Anyone with a birthday t-shirt on their child will be asked to relinquish the stroller and exit the park. For only $15.99 (plus tax) you can schedule your childs ejection for a specific time

Maybe just a fluke. I don't personally recall seeing this at WDW. Aggressive stroller users have long been a problem, but so are people absentmindedly walking right into strollers and young kids.

Most strollers do have seatbelts, but maybe with parents taking kids in/out of strollers all day they aren't using them as much as they normally would.

I have my own kids to police without getting all hot and bothered about the idiots who can’t figure out how to buckle their own kids into strollers🙄 if I’m going to get riled up over something parents are doing to their kids at WDW, it’s going to be the screaming/yelling and other emotional and physical abuse that happens due to “power surges”—as we referred to them growing up.

Can't say I've ever seen any children flying from their strollers. One time after a crowded Fantasmic show, I saw a parent who was pushing a stroller repeatedly bump the person in front of him. I knew something would be said and sure enough, he bumped her one too many times and she turned around and let him have it. And all he did was shrug. Rude.

I don't know about kids but I almost saw a guy go flying when he ran up on my heel with a stroller. I'm glad it was empty. If a child had been in it, it could have caused some damage when it ran up on my foot.

I've never seen this happen, but assuming it's a thing, I can't imagine there's anything that the world at large can do to stop it. Disney has already eliminated a large number of curbs and similar things-to-bump-into around the parks (Ah! That's why they took away all those trees and benches - it was to protect the children!). If some stroller-driving parents are so stupid that they can't figure out how to watch where they're going, then their children are likely to have inherited those same dumb bunny genes, so a few extra concussions here and there probably won't make a difference in those kids' I.Q.s anyway. ;) (I kid, I kid -- no flaming required.)

I'm not sure if this is satire or not. I grew up with these...

...so falling out of a stroller is nothing. It might be kinda fun. Run head-long into a curb and see what kind of hang time you can get. Over grass of course, I'm not a monster.

Oh, and some playgrounds had just black, hot, asphalt. We all had those mighty knee scabs, remember those?

I like the single shoe sitting there, waiting for it's owner to get up off the ground. :hilarious:
