Worst day ever! Okay, not ever, but it was a mega crappy day.

The only good thing to come of it - it looks like Erica (Erica Dorothy Goldberg :hilarious:) and Geoff might finally get together. Rewind. Six times.

Now to shed the last of this horrendously bad mood by going for an evening stroll. A fast-paced, 4-mile, in flip flops, "evening stroll".

Today was our last full day here in paradise. It started off with a gorgeous sunrise...

and a little entertainment from Winston and Churchill

Then since our niece was leaving tonight we let her choose what she wanted to do today. She wanted to go to Blue Springs to see the manatees. It was cool yesterday and rainy so we figured there would be a good chance of seeing them today, since they come into the spring when the river water is too cool. We checked the webcam and we were correct, so we headed out to see them.

From there we drove over to DeLeon Springs to have lunch at the Sugar Mill pancake place, and to just admire how pretty the place is. The live oaks there are just amazing, and the spring itself is so cool.

Tomorrow we head north. Still no grandson, but hopefully if all goes well we'll be holding him on Sunday!

@Nemo14 , those oaks are so majestic and graceful. Again, I enjoy your pictures of the natural beauty found in the South.

One animal I've never seen up close is a manatee. That must have been fun to see them. They seem like such big ol' gentle critters.

As long as they're not tipping your canoe over...

You really should plan a trip next February. You can stay here at the condo and we'll show you the real Florida!
