Yes. Not the greatest news. I have interstitial cystitis (Google it, a little too graphic for here); a chronic condition.

All my existing prescriptions were swapped out, and some new ones added. One promises to make me nauseated until I get used to it. (Promise fulfilled :hungover: :depressed:)

On the plus side, all my surgery from 10 years ago is holding up perfectly.

Oy. But I'm happy for the former surgeries success and no new ones on the horizon!

Ive no desire to read the last ten pages, sorry guys.

Been meaning to post this one for a few days:

(Warning, food ahead!)

Homemade pesto (sweet and cinnamon basil from my yard!), home grown tomatoes, and the mozz cheese my friend made. Guess what we had for dinner last weekend? :)

This is what i made tonight:

Hamburger on nutty bread its a pecan almond bread) with sharp cheddar, bbq sauce...and peanut butter. :) it was fantastic! Also made whole grain onion rings and waffle fries...baked, but i doused them in veggie oil first

But it was so.. SO good. I even used the real (plastic) plates instead of paper! ...with paper towels to soak up the oil.

Anyways, i wanted to post to @Cesar R M before he leaves for his trip! Have a great trip!!

Oh Yum. And I noticed the plate right off. I have them too.

Oh dear. I never heard that. That is rather reprehensible.

Yeah, she was ground breaking as a female comedian, I liked her to Don Rickles type of humor. After her thing with the Cleveland Girls that she was tar'd and feather'd by everyone for it should have been a warning sign that her stuff needed to be vetted from that point forward and stick to a script. She has certainly lost her filter for crossing the line.

It hurts me to the core to discuss the events with my kids. The discuss it in school on a very general level. I hate seeing them learn that the world is not all sunshine, puppies and rainbows like when they were little.
That is when a spiritual life helps. It has helped me shape the way I look at things and I expose my kids to it. What they take from it will be their own path. I'm not endorsing anything but just expressing how I approach it. To each their own.

I wasnt reading this forum at the time, but i was in my world history class in high school when the second tower fell.

Ill never forget, right before that class and before i knew what was going on, sitting in my english class, day dreaming out the window, and wondering why the skies were so clear of planes.

Im about 35 minutes from pittsburgh international airport...which is mere minutes by air...and 60 minutes from somerset, where the one plane crashed. A handful more minutes and it could have hit my city.

I went home after my world history class that day. I learned enough.
I was driving to respiratory therapy school. I parked in my space and sat dumbfounded. I didn't believe my ears. We didn't have class that day to say the least, I met my exhusband and daughter at home and we'll what can I say?

I used to NEVER get colds and coughs until my daughter was born. Now she is always bringing home germs from day care and I average 1 cold and/or cough a month..at least.

I had two day care kids. I was sick the first two years until I learned to be as cautious with a sick kid as I was with sick co-workers. I got better about duck'n from sneezes and coughs, I became a constant hand washer and I learned that gargling with mouth wash (or maybe wine at night) killed off some germs. When they were sick I disinfected the touchables, door knobs, bathroom touchables, refrigerator door handles etc. From that moment forward I caught much less. Then I turned into a certifiable germaphobic.

The upside about daycare kids is they build up so much immunity by the time school starts that on a whole they miss far less school than non daycare kids, so it usually brings healthier times ahead.

Unfortunately thats the nature of the beast. A lot of innocence was lost that day.

I'm pretty sure I've posted this here before.
My SIL used to be a flight attendant for American airlines. She was good friends with the pilot of flight 77 that hit the Pentagon, Charles Frank "Chic" Burlingame III, and also another flight attendant and her husband that were flying jump seats to California that fateful day. Her fellow flight attendant was in charge of our guest book at our wedding. Also, one time when the SIL was in town for a layover, she invited us out to the airport to see her for a bit. As it happened, he was the pilot. She had told him how much I loved aviation, so we were allowed on the plane and I was even allowed to sit in the pilots seat. Very nice guy, reminded me of an older cousin of mine. Had an awesome conversation with him.
Sick to our stomachs that whole day. Even more so when we heard more bad news.

Yeah. I was a senior in high school when it happened (there, now everyone knows my age). I remember every detail and it was definitely a horrible day...I have thought a couple times about how I am going to explain 9/11 to my 16 month old when she gets older.

They will likely never wrap themselves around 9/11 the same way as we all experienced it no matter how well they comprehend. It was like my Dad explaining Pearl Harbor to me. I understood yet very different than experiencing the times. My DDs memories are of me meeting the bus and escorting 2 additional kids to their parents at their homes verses the bus driver taking them back to school. My DS vivid memory of wig out teacher and all that followed. He still wonders if she regrets her behavior in their classroom that morning.

It's going to be hotter on Labor Day than July 4. Odd Summer indeed.

Once again, I am lost. Explain please?

It was in that fear of all things needles era 'cause nobody understood HIV. It was a pressure device that literally by pressure shot the vaccine through your skin. Hurt like a #@$% and left a deep bruise. They got rid of that pretty darn quick. I don't recall most flu shots, they are uneventful. That one I have vivid memories of.
