:sohappy: I am so thrilled that everyone is doing what they can, no matter how little/big it is, because we all know that every penny means the world to someone.
Thank you everyone for participating. Sorry for the three minute delay. I was actually running out of a meeting at 6:45 into my office to compute the totals and update the donators list. I was a bit delayed because I kept doing my math to make sure I had the right totals!! I think I was kind of in shock!!

And yes, please remember that our Katrina fund is not just magic members only. If you want your friends and family to donate through us, they're more than welcome to.

I wanted to mention if anyone is unable to donate cash or buy items to donate another way you can raise money is you can auction off items on ebay and the money goes directly to a charity. There is a company called MissionFish ( http://www.missionfish.org/ ) that you can set it up so when you auction something off the auction shows the money goes to whatever charity you decide. If the auction ends for $10.00, mission fish will deduct that total from your credit card within X amount of days. If the buyer does not pay, you get your money back.
There are tons of charities you can sell for and one is for the Red Cross Relief fund for the huricane. I did it last year for the Tsunami Relief fund and sold about $175.00 worth of stuff.
So if you can't donate cash but have an old CD or a mug or a DVD or whatever you can spare you can auction it off and have 100% go to this charity. If any of you have any questions or are interested in doing this and don't know how, let me know and I can try to help you.

Just a note: Red Cross is MUCH MORE in need of money than food, clothing, etc. Those items just clog up the system more.
For those who use the iTunes Music Store, they have added a donation link on the front page. You can donate anywhere from $5-$200.
