First look at the new attraction poster

The picture is from tonight's meet-up at DL, which featured a panel of Imagineers and Animators discussing the attraction. More info about the meet-up will be posted tomorrow on the Disney Parks Blog.

I guess I'll post a quick review.

It's a cute ride. The smaller AAs are my favorite (Scuttle, Sebastian, Flotsam and Jetsam). Like all other Fantasyland dark rides, it lacks a good story. The ending is abrupt and anti-climatic. The Under the Sea Ariel AA is still really awkward. I like it, but it's not something I'm going to go on every time I'm in the parks.

I've read some other reviews that raved about it. Like everything else, some will love it and some won't. I just read a Star Tours 2 review that didn't like it at all, and a few others that were "meh", but most raved that too. I am looking forward to both.

I would have to disagree. I think the story is laid out quite well and the music is great.
I do agree about the small AAs.

Hmm, looks like this isn't the homerun everyone was hoping it would be.

I don't think it was supposed to be. It's a solid D-ticket and if you go in with that expectation, I think you will enjoy it.

I will post my review Friday when the ride opens to the public, but it is positive. :D

You won't see anything till CM previews which start soon. They have CMs watching every clam mobile checking for photos/video. If someone was using either, they were escorted out and probably fired. The latest Disney Parks Blog video shows you a lot of the ride.

Woah! That looks fantastic!

And since I've seen this building in person recently, and know that pictures don't quite do it justice as you walk around it and see it in real life, I can imagine that it looks even better in person.

The details are what make it, and they really did a beautiful job with the details. Compared to the cheap stucco box theater attraction this replaced, this is a DRAMATIC improvement for DCA, and for the overall Disneyland Resort.
:sohappy:
Now I can't wait to see inside!

Tease.

I'm hoping they do soft openings over Memorial Day Weekend. I try to avoid the big media events and official opening day stuff, so I won't attempt it on June 3rd. But a Memorial Day Weekend soft opening, I could do.

I love how before, a lot of people weren't so fond of the building. But now that the walls are down people are gushing over it. Love love love all the details, especially the decorative stuff on the ground.

All of the light fixtures around the facility haven't yet been turned on, but a majority of them are now on and operating. The Mermaid building looks gorgeous at night! Here's the first batch of pics, compliments of Dateline Disneyland at Micechat, from Friday when the walls first came down and they began nighttime Cast Member Previews of the ride.

^ Beautiful! The white dots you see in the rotunda picture are actually embedded seashells they have added throughout the concrete
