Visiting the resorts?

Do you know how the cost of using a taxi from AKL to the Grand Floridian (and back) would compare to the cost of a car rental?

If you're looking at using an app like Uber or Lyft you can to fare estimates if you have the address of both pick up and drop off. They are able to give you a price range or sometimes they give you an exact amount. I just looked it up in Uber and it would be $9-12 each way and would likely be higher in peak times (park opening or closing).

Your other option would be to look into using Disney Transportation from AKL to MK and then taking the ferry or the monorail to GF. This option is definitely easiest on the wallet and brings you the most Disney "magic" if you can call it that.

To add onto this, are there good places to see the animals there without getting a room with a view?
Take a look at this website below. It seemed to have a good overview of what the AKL is all about...lots of photos too. If you have the time and interest, there is a LOT to see throughout this resort.

I found this website (below) that tells about some free tours Disney offers. We haven't done them but now that we know about them, it's definitely something to look into.

We did this before to see the different pools area and another time to see how the resorts decorated for the holidays. It is also a great way to see where you would like to stay on your next visit.
