That kid is just a really really big WIMP!!!! Seriously, my 7 year old cousin could take this kid and slap the zippa-dee-doo-da out of him!!!

You go TIGGER!!!!!! That kid was just mad at you for scaring the ______ out of him in the tigger scene on the Winnie the Pooh ride in Fantasyland!!!!

Maybe Tigger felt the kid trying to knock his mask(head)off.
That is my thought as well. The kid was doing something by putting his hand behind Tigger. There is a logical reason, Tigger just doesn't go off on some guest.

But where was Tigger's escort? I would like to see more of the video.

It would be nice if Disney security camera's could have caught what happened.

Tigger really should have gone for the dad.

As a point of note, Tigger is also extremely close to the curb, and it appears at one point Tigger is leaning backward to the point balance would be difficult, therefore making any kind of "punch" more forceful in the attempt to regain balance. I'm not saying that is some sort of cause, but it may have played a role, along with a rude kid doing something inappropriate.

If I were to pass judgment, I would be in favor of the defendant, Tigger.
Keep on bouncin'.

Amazing how everyone takes the CMs side with practically no evidence on his behalf.

Tigger lost his balance and as a reaction held the kids arm & put his fist up in front of the kid's face? Give me a break.

If the CM did indeed punch the guest, whether in self-defense, for no reason or for whatever reason, to me he is guilty and should be fired.

If on the other hand he fell (or whatever) and accidentally hit the guest by mistake, that is a different story. However, if that was the case I don't see why he didn't just say that. If he fell, I'm sure that is what Disney would want immediately put out.

I don't see any reason why the CM wouldn't apologize if it was an just accident.

Just my opinion though.

For those keeping score:

Tigger: 1

Punk Kid: 0

Jerk Dad: Media Bonus + 1000

I long for the days when honest men could just throw down and settle differences without crying to the media and/or lawyers. Its the equivalent of that spoiled rich brat everyone hated in high school getting his nose bloodied in a fight and running to the cops. Even if Tigger had given that kid a curb stomping (which is no less than what his dad deserves), I've lost all respect for the family for running to the media as fast as they did. What a bunch of attention whores.

It didn't look very intentional at all. If I were under that mask and for some reason wanted to kill that kid, I would've cocked my fist back, followed through, and decked him. In the video it appears that Tigger's arm just kinda comes around and manages to land a blow on the kid's face. To me I think this time Tigger's innocent ( why is it always Tigger getting in trouble?! ), and that the father is over-reacting and needs to shut up.

I agree with the sentiment...but I'm willing to give the dad a little wiggle room without knowing whether he called the reporters or just had a camera shoved in his face and had to react.

Or depending how this case turns out, the days when you could go to Disney World and not have to think that a CM hit a guest.

I'm suspicious... There is no logic to an unprovoked attack on a guest. Where is the alleged victim's other hand and what is he doing to Tigger? Sorry, but I have to think there's an awful lot more to this story than appears in this story.

I agree. I find it hard to believe that Tigger "punched" this guest for no reason.

Honestly, Tigger was probably just joking around.

I am gonna stick with my gut feeling that he went to the local TV station first. Hell, his home movie is on the news tonight, and the incident happened today? This incident could have made it on the news sooner or later, since every news outlet pays a reporter to comb though the local police reports to look for anything good, but even the turnaround time on that takes about a day or so (Universal Studios rape case immediately springs to mind).

Hahaha. Oh man... :brick:

So you mean to tell me the next time you're in Disney World you're going to be worried about your family being assaulted by a CM, huh?

It doesn't even look like Tigger hit him hard at all. It just looks like he kinda grazed him. I think he was either playing around or he fell back and his arm came around and hit him in the face. Why is he even complaining when he didn't even get a bruise or a bloody nose?

It's possible that the CM didn't apologize because he feels that he isn't at fault. Like others, it appears to me that the kid was being mischievious. Tigger is not punching but responding to whatever the kid was doing. And if that was a punch then Tigger is punches like girl. (My apologies to all female boxers out there. :lookaroun )

Emotional distress? Like the time I saw Cinderella smoking or the time the actress playing Belle rejected my advances (both backstage)... nevertheless, both were emotionally "scarring." No pun intended.
