Rumor- New Imagination sponsor: Colorvision?

Yeah, that one. I liked it better as that. And then they redid it due to complaints of it not being kiddy and corny enough, which really deluded the theming to the point it barely made enough sense.

The original 80's ride had too much singing and stuff. Even at like 5, I didn't like it that much. I had a better time on Horizons, Space Ship Earth, etc. As a kid, that stuff isn't necessarily "cool" or interesting, but I digress. I suppose they could do a complete re-do, but the ride is still good enough that I do it multiple times each trip. I just think things here are super exaggerated.

Too much singing? That's like saying you hate It's a Small World.
The song is what brings the message of the ride. Telling you that we all have that "one little spark" in all of us.

I bet you like Stitch's Great Escape too.

My 3-yr-old won't ride JII - because they blow a skunk scent in your face! I know many rides simulate something bad happening (the bridge on the Safarri, most thrill rides) but this is the only one I can think of that does soemthing actually bad to you. (I agree with my DD; I don't like the smell either.)

Take this with a grain of salt, and mods please lock this if it's just a bunch of bull (or debunked by the insiders). Someone over on Micechat is reporting that the Imagination pavilion in Epcot is receiving a new sponsor. They spoke with a cast member at Captain EO (don't close the thread quite yet) whom allegedly gave them a glimpse of a pamphlet that was being handed out to the other cast members there. According to the poster, the pamphlet was about a new sponsor for the pavilion, a company called Colorvision (which i admit i've never heard of till now). This is their website however, they already apparently have a history involving other popular theme parks-

Any truth to this? Or is it just nonsense made up by a fan? And if it is true, could this mean good (or bad) things for Journey into Imagination?

The official word is Colorvision is an operating partcipant for IMAGEWORKS only, not the Imagination pavilion.

Born Modest. Wore Off.
Jersery Shore needs to be higher.. lol and what about Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? Maybe just loop that in with Jar Jar as bad decisions by Lucas...

First time I rode new Star Tours, I got the Naboo scene. When Jar Jar (at least I assume it was supposed to be Jar Jar) popped up on screen, I said "It's Jar Jar, shoot him" -- got a big laugh.

Definatly go one day. But from the way it came across to me is we may redo it. Which I hope so or we just change the post show.

Jafar just a question that everyone is probably thinking after this comment...

Is Colorvision capable of paying for a $200 million redo of Imagination? I understand what they do from the website, but is it that BIG of a business to sponsor a pavillion and pay for a rehab? If your company can do this, then I hope you would bring the pavillion back to its former glory but with up-to-date standards!

There is a place currently in the Imageworks where you can have your picture added into a Disney backdrop. Dh and I did it on one of our trips. Do you think that Colorvision is just going to replace that one tiny portion of the imageworks? I'd hate to see people get all excited about a redo of the attraction, or even a redo of the original upstairs Imageworks, when really this may just pan out to be Colorvision taking over one small kiosk in the existing downstairs Imageworks.

That appears to be exactly what is going on. Nothing more.

I'm sorry, but I must take offense to the Batman reference... there is absolutely nothing on film that compares to the Batman original movie... the helicopter, the shark, the repellent... I could watch it over and over and over again...

What was the point of bringing Dreamfinder back for Richard Sherman's appearance at that D23 event last summer? I was hoping it was a portent for things to come...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_xNiiGsXBo

This was done by D23, and very few people new what was going on with this appearance. All that was known by most people was that Ron Schneider (Dream Finder) was going to make an appearance during that presentation.

Unfortunately, not too much should be read into that appearance.

True dat... :lookaroun

:animwink:

Nothing should be made of his appearance. It was solely to remember and celebrate One Little Spark and the Sherman Brothers.
