A My Little Pony ride would be nice for the kids, I guess.

Like I said in the Lucasfilm thread, I'm afraid that Disney may accidentally buy themselves, next.

When do they start building the Dungeons and Dragons 5th gate! ;)

In all seriousness, I would think they only reason they would do this is to get ahold of a couple pieces of IP. Is it really worth buying a toy company just for that?

There really should be a limit on how many brands you can own. Hasbro likely has merchandising contracts with other studios so you end up with the same legal headaches you get with Marvel and to a lesser extent Lucasfilm. I still really do not get the logic of the Marvel acquisition.

Any chance with the rate it's going that Disney buys Universal?

Not unless Comcast is willing to part with it.

They might buy JK Rowling, too.
Then, finish up for dessert and buy Lord of the RIngs, Star Trek, Dr. Who, Sherlock Holmes, Tintin, Asterix, Twilight, and 50 Shades of Grey. Now that'd be a fifth gate.

Not sure what Disney would do with 50 Shades of Grey.

This is just ridiculous. Might as well buy Mattel while they're at it.

Too bad they can't buy companies that specialize in theme park maintenance and printed napkins.
