The other day when I was at the WDW, lightning struck one of the transformers by the the Monorail depot and the Magic Kingdom lost power for a few minutes and the Magic Kingdom Monorail line was down the rest of the day and the whole night. My cousin and I spoke to two Monorail workers and we were talking about the monorails and we asked them if they think there will be new monorails coming to WDW soon. In their opinion they said yes that they will be there soon. I realized when WDW opened in '71, those monorails lasted 20 years. Then they changed the Monorails in '91 and now its 20 years later and the monorails are older and they need a lot of refurbishments. What do you guys think or have you guys heard anything about new monorails coming to WDW?
